West Auckland Town - Northern Lge Div 1

NOVEMBER

Still joint top with Darlington and still unbeaten in the League. Excellent result in the League away to Consett 7-1.
Also threw to next round of the FA Vase.
 
DECEMBER

Well it couldn't last forever could it? Our unbeaten league run ends at game 24. A 2-1 loss away to Ashington. Darlington leap frogged us into 1st place but we want our place back!!
An easy win in the FA Vase sees us through to Round 4 and a tricky trip to Quorn FC.

C'mon the Wests!!!
 
JANUARY

Lost ground on Darlington at the top (7pts behind) going to take a miracle to win the league now i think!
Whooped Quorn FC in FA Vase 3-1.
Winterbourne Utd in 5th round (away AGAIN!!)
 
FEBRUARY

We've clawed a point back on Darlington, now 6pts behind and we're playing them on 1st March at home! C'mon the Wests!!!

A scrappy win in the Vase sees us threw to the Quarter-Finals and a home tie at last to Winsford United.

What a month!! Started off disastrously with a drubbing at home to Darlington 4-1. Then we won every game since with Darlo only winning once! Joint top again but they've a game in hand. It's all to play for!
Beat Winsford 1-0 in the Vase but lost the 1st leg of the Semi at home to Armthorpe Welfare.
 
END OF SEASON

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!!

The season went to the very last game. Our end of season form was outstanding!
We were a point in front of Darlo going into the last match. We won 2-0 they lost 2-1. WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!

We lost the FA Vase semi-final 2nd leg but i believe that loss helped us win the league.

Roll on next season.
