what size pitch

I play FMC so haven't really chosen to use pitch size but if I had to I think I would use a narrow and short pitch, would suit our structure of defending before attacking.

Also, after my third season at Leeds,Van Gaal retired and I got the job at United.(I won the Euro Cup and finished 3rd with Leeds in the 3rd season).
Anyways, after seeing how Lokito had his fullbacks up in the wingback slot,I decided to try that with my team as well. And guess what, boom.Had the best ever season with United, though there were a number of other contributing changes,e.g.-change of fluidity to flexible as it seemed better defensively and offensively, also changed the wingbacks to a support role, switched off look for overlap, introduced exploit the middle and get stuck in and some other changes and like since the changes,I conceded only 3 goals in 30 BPL games with 2 of those scored from setplays.
I basically inherited a pretty strong team though,so I am going to see how this version does with say a Hertha or a West Ham before uploading anything.I just hope I can keep the defensive solidity with a weaker team!!

Sounds good mate, let me know if you want me to give it a roll

Ofc I remember your cracking tactic. That was a good one. well, getting these results with West Ham is an amazing job. not like some clueless tactic creators "wannabes" here. who only want "Likes" to their posts not the real opinion "Likes Whores"I'm testing a friend's tactic for now I hope I finish soon then I'll give this tactic a go.

I will pm it to you with the changes I make for away games, let me know how you get along.

If you need another tester, I'm available as well. Been testing tactics for you and giving feedback in previous FM-years, you might still know me :D

Edit: Anyone have experince with the hertha tactic? Since akash's saying its been worse for him the second season?

I've used it in LLM. With brainless dummies running around the pitch, it works fine and the 2nd season was more impressive. In the first I (Hereford) won the Vanarama Conference Soutch, promoted to Conference and immediately won that by a 30 point margin. Had 2 impressive FA cup wins over teams 2 divisions up. My wage budget is one of the highest in those competitions so my basic player quality is pretty good, but all in all I feeel this tactic is working very well.

For me its all about getting fun from seeing your players play.I have two tactics in my hand that have both been terribly good for two different teams. One is the United version which was a clean sheet bandwagon while scoring quite a few.But recently,I wanted to make something that attacked really well.I am having a test of this one with Leicester and its coming really nicely with goals scored and some really nice attacking play but I still cant get the defensive nous that a defender like me yearns for.

Hey mate, how you been?I do remember you.I just hope the Leicester version holds up.If I can get Europe with the default Leicester team,I would be very happy and upload the tactic. Results have been erratic so far,but fingers crossed.

Glad to know its working for others as well. Some screens from you shall be great!

Hertha V3 tactic results:

Vanarama Conference league table:

Match results:

The season before I won the Conference South division, so I went straight to championship in the higher division. As said, I had a pretty high salary budget so I was able to get fairly good players for the league.

I would have thought that lower level players would not be able to cope with the large amount of instructions, the high pressing etc, but in fact they dominated the field in almost every game.

In this season I had a good striker, two very good midfielders and two good CB's. Hertha works with inside wingers so ideally the AMR would be left footed and the AML vice versa, but those are not easy to find on lower levels. Nevertheless they performed pretty well, quite a lot of goals. My DR had a trait "dives into tackles" which earned him the most yellow cards in the league because Hertha has him on tackle hard.
My goalie had the most shutouts, but there were also series of games where we conceded quite a lot, a fairly high amount due to missed headers by my CB's.

This season my transfer focus is on full backs with good crossing skills, and a key player on AMC. I'm also looking for a fast striker because I expect to be pushed back more than last year.

Ok guys so I said I will post a tactic if I can be in the European spots with Leicester come the end of the season but the last 2 days I have been playing a bit with Leicester in my free time(which is very less) and have gone onto doing really well so thought of sharing it with you guys. I reckon you guys can probably perfect it.
The pro of the tactic are lots of goalscoring and some cracking football. The cons are late goals being conceded, not being able to keep up with opposition during the second half of games when they come back from leads I hold.(I have a tactic that was very defensively solid before,so I might try and use that, but for this test,I thought I would just use this.Anyways, here are the screens and the tactic.Hope you have as much fun as I did when playing with a smaller team!
