Hello!
I need some help with my Cardiff City tactic:
Currently playing OKayish, second in Championship(first season). However I feel like I am not getting the maximum from my players. Here are the roles I am giving to them:
Tom Heaton(GK defend)
Seamus Coleman(FB automatic)
Lee Naylor(FB automatic)
Paul Quinn(CB + more defensive mentality, cuz he is a slow player) - does the strictly defensive mentality of that player cause problems in defense - like fuking up occasional offside traps, even though I am not using them?
Darcy Blake(CB)
Gavin McCann(Ball Winning M defend) - should I give him Hold Up Ball or not? He is tough but not technically skilled at all...
Stephen McPhail(Advanced Playmaker support)
Henry Lansbury(Wide Mid support) - no free role
Peter Whittingham(Winger attack) - I am giving him free role + high creativity + move into channels. However I am not pleased the way he is playing. Is he too slow and awkward in dribbling in order to shine at the winger position or perhaps I shoudn't move him into channels? I would like him to play Nedved style(Advanced Playmaker at the left winger position) but he can't really cut inside - very weak right foot...Hugging the touchline is not an option, since my forwards aren't very good at jumping/heading...
Jay Bothroyd(Deep-lying F support) - he ain't playing well too. I give him a little high creativity, "sometimes" run with ball, long shots and try through balls and normal wide play + hold up ball.
Craig Bellamy(Advanced F attack) - with free role and normal(not high) creativity.
Also looking for advice in signing reliable Welsh players, who will perform good in Premiership.
Thanks in advance!
