how exactly is shouting "******* doomed" having any impact on anyone other than a few emos making themselves a bit more depressed about their lives?

and id love to see some of the stuff youve written with a headache, i bets its GREAT

Just a small example. Makes Hetfield's lyrics look like they came from a 3 year old.

why is everything always so ****** negative with you, you ever listen to anything a bit uplifting or cheery? i think id be as much of a **** as you if i listened to that depressing ***** all day....and believed it

Well done Hetfield. I've written better with headaches. Those 3 lines in my sig have more impact than the lyrics of that whole song. The cliche rays omitted from that song makes me wanna throw up.

The Day that Never Comes isn't the best lyrically, and neither is the album; but in what way does the lyrics in your sig have more of an impact than that song? (I'm not suggesting the lyrics from TDTNC have much of an 'impact', but what justifies or clarifies their impact? A few teenagers like yourself thinking 'yeah Paul Mcartney's a ****, yeah Bono's a ****?)

Not gona copy the whole thing, it sounds like a fookin novel. I'm sure they're great. Certainly doesn't sound earth-shattering though.

Are these lyrics better for you Ad? I was a bit worried actually they might sound a little bit like something you'd like. Or do they omit too many cliche rays as well?

Im nt in2 Beatles, altho have only heard the pop single stuff they released, but u cant say theyre overated, look at their popularity, and at the time they were around, im pretty sure im correct in saying they were making ground breaking music.

I love your replies Redders, they're usually so out of touch with the post you're addressing it's hilariously hard to take what you say seriously any other time.

And AJW they are a lot better, still pretty simplistic but at least they make a point. Music should make people think and use their mind. If you look at the ones I posted they're intelligently put and are different in the way they are written. I don't think Metallica are particularly bad - they're good musicians. They're just overrated...

I'm not saying music shouldn't be enjoyable, but their should be a connection with the listener. I see no connection with music that has no purpose to inform or make me think or stimulate my mind.
 
are you sure you mean make you think? and not provoke some sort of emotional response. Dont think a songs ever made me think cept for dizzees rap on do they know its christmas, poor africans :'(

i read or watch informative shows or go to university to stimulate my mind, i listen to music to relax, alot of people may connect with music due to a beat or rythm, doesnt have to be some sad **** screaming about the little africans getting raped or some ****
