Lad to be honest with you 26 was WAY better than this **** at least engine wise the last patch on 26 was actually more or less playable and enjoyable heck im already having nostalgia about 26.So far not very good. UI is better than last year but still not as good as previously.
ME seems completely RNG, which on the one hand is better but on the other it seems any tactical tweaks actually don't do much at all.
Overall an upgrade on a downgrade is still a downgrade. 24 >>> 27 >>>>>> 26
I understand your point, and I agree that tactical familiarity and player buy-in probably play a much bigger role this year. However, I think that's also part of what makes FM27 feel so different from previous editions. In FM26, you could often get a reasonable idea of whether a tactic worked after a few friendlies and the first handful of competitive matches. This year, it seems much harder to separate the actual quality of a tactic from the time required for the players to understand and adapt to it.Lads I've spoken to a couple of very knowlegable folks and they told me that apparently this "tactical buy in" and the other stuff or whatever the heck it is like as far as the tactical effectiveness is measured has a huge impact this year and any kind of tactic before and after its fully learned would have NIGHT and DAY performance difference. So try a tactic for a couple of seasons at least and report if you see major differences the second season.
Well I think most lads would use some tactic they built over multiple saves for multiple seasons in the long run regardless..I understand your point, and I agree that tactical familiarity and player buy-in probably play a much bigger role this year. My concern is that we're moving away from the idea that a well-constructed tactic should produce relatively consistent performances, even with an average team. I'm happy to give a system a full season, but I also think we should be able to recognise tactical quality without needing two seasons of testing. Otherwise, how do we objectively judge whether a tactic is genuinely good or simply benefiting from familiarity?
I see you changed opinionWell I think most lads would use some tactic they built over multiple saves for multiple seasons in the long run regardless..
I think its actually some benefit in that you now have to test your ideas over some time to see their effectiveness.
Probably adding some tweaks to tactics would now be more beneficial if the team is already more less familiar with the tactic in general beforehand.
Its not per say I've changed my opinion yet lad but I've been told by a few folks now including my friend arnold thangs are changing a lot come second season and later after tactical buy in increases. I want to put that claim to the test and see if it holds up with my own eyes before making a definitive conclusion.I see you changed opinion
I am happy for you
Enjoy the game
For those guys like me who is obsessed with results and immediate impact I guess we will struggle to adapt
Or just play FM 26![]()

I would tell you though my first glance impression of this engine was rather sad but I saw on some lads save the football played is night and day after this "buy in" takes place so I want to give it a go.
