Leicester City made it back to the Premier League as dominant winners of the Championship in May 2014. With a wealthy chairman, and a driven manager, the club looked all set for a great season back in the top flight.

However, come the start of the new season, and Leicester find themselves without Nigel Pearson, who has resigned on grounds of a complete breakdown in the relationship with the chairman, Mr. Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.

Enter God Fish. An unknown quantity. Quite frankly, what the chairman is doing, no-one is really sure. With the Premier League season galloping over the horizon, Leicester City fans are crossing everything they possess, and are praying that come May, they will still have trips to Anfield, Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge to look forward to.

The Team:

On first glance, the squad is reasonable, but needs some work. Schmeichel and Moore will be key components of my defence, but there is a risk that we could become over reliant on them.

In the centre of the park, Drinkwater will be a very solid choice, and there is no denying that the experience of Cambiasso will be absolutely crucial.

With plenty of strikers as well, including record signing Leonardo Ulloa, the Leicester squad is well stocked.

My only immediate concern is that of left wing. With a distinct lack of recognised players for the position, this will be a primary target.

I almost went with a Leicester game because of Leo Ulloa as i am a Brighton fan but i decided to go with Burnley but i will follow this!

Cheers mate! I was at university in Leicester, and saw them play, so it seemed a natural choice! Hopefully I can do better than they are currently though

My Aims:

To start with, survival is the only goal we have. Progress in the Capital One Cup or the FA Cup would be nice, but ultimately, they count as distractions. If we are 17th or higher come the end of the season, I feel it will have been successful. Further aims will be established as progression occurs.

For this season, I have been given a budget of 11.75m, on the proviso I guarantee our Premier League status for next season. A reasonable amount, given we do have good players already.

Fixtures:

It would be my favourite club to open wouldn’t it! Tough couple of fixtures to start with, but after that, it gets slightly easier. Apart from a couple of nightmare trios of fixtures, I see no reason why we can’t set up a run of wins in the middle of the season.

Martin Odegaard

A touch obvious perhaps, but even I'm surprised we closed this deal. Immense talent, and should fit right in when he joins in January.

Suso

A quality attacking midfielder, Suso will likely start at either CAM or LW depending on other arrivals. Whilst only a loan move, if the lad performs well, then I would definitely consider extending the deal.

As a Leicester fan, I'll follow this one. Two good signings, and good luck!

Cheers mate! Really happy about Suso, he was slightly disappointing on my ongoing main save as Liverpool, but I can see he has talent, so hopefully I can take advantage.

Couple of great signings there!

Pretty happy with both of those, hoping to confirm another couple of signings when I do some more on the file later tonight/early tomorrow. Looking at a centre back, and another attacking midfielder.

I wouldn't like you to talk another Brighton player as Leciester already have the likes of Ulloa, Wood, Hammond and Upson but i would recommend Lewis Dunk for CB, in both FM14 and also with my first save with Brighton on FM15 he turns into a great cb

Currently waiting on a scout report with Dunk currently. Also keeping an eye on Mammana, but that would be a much longer term signing. Balanta is a little too obvious, and at 6m, he would be too expensive when I have a couple more players I need.

Another I've considered is Kolo Toure, pretty solid centre back who would do a job, if only for a season while I establish myself in the league.

In terms of the attacking player, Bolasie is the main focus of my attention, but I do have a couple more players in mind yet. Bringing in Suso does at least cover me should I fail to find a suitable target.

Andrej Kramaric

The 23 year old Croatian wasn't exactly a planned signing, but for 3m, it was a worth while deal. With the added advantage that he can play at LW, he will be battling Nugent and Ulloa to start at the King Power vs Liverpool.

Alex Pearce

The Reading stalwart comes in for 2.4m, in the hope that he'll be a good rotation option for our campaign. A solid centre back, his commanding presence at the back should add stability.

Foxes return from Germany; another new face joins the team

Tour of Germany

A mixed bag of results in the end. We dominated the first three games comfortably, but a loss in the third one was very disappointing. The Offenbach game also disappointed, but we crushed Meppen to at least retain a little dignity.

It is worth pointing out that Craig Shakespeare led the team overseas; I was off in Croatia convincing Kramaric to join us. The friendlies are done for the pre-season though, leaving me to make my complete managerial debut, against the team I support.

Luke Garbutt

We finally secured a left back in the shape of Luke Garbutt. He's made solid progress in the Everton youth teams, and he will look to make an impact at the highest level with his new club. I'm not convinced by Konchesky, so Garbutt will fight it out with Schlupp.

Great story mate, Suso can be quality had him at Benfica one time and on form he was unreal. Will follow

I made a bit of a mess of him on my main Liverpool file, but he still turned out well so hopefully I can actually do him some justice this time!

I never really focus on Pre-Season results, i take the matches but i use it for fitness purpose only and ouch with Cambiasso getting injured just before the season starts

I look at the stats more than the results, and the stats are good, just the result that isn't. Cambiasso's absence could be costly, especially with Liverpool and Spurs in my first two fixtures, I needed a good defensive midfielder.
