It gets worse, Wes Morgan is out for a month now! It's going to be a rough start to the season.

Off the top of my head im guessing your CB partnership will be Moore and De Laet as he ended up playing there on my first save with Brighton when i got to the Prem so that may be an option, too bad Upson is injured as well

I would think so, with Schlupp out as well, it is just as well I brought in Garbutt. Either way, I sense a massacre at the King Power...

So, the season here, but for half my team, they are stuck in the treatment rooms. Not entirely sure what my backroom staff are doing, but I don't approve. Wasyl, Morgan and Pearce are all out, so our defence is incredibly depleted.

Kramaric and Ulloa make Leicester debuts in the battle for the striker spot, although Kramaric will be starting on the left wing. Knockaert is only just back from injury, and Vardy is still not in full training despite being on the bench. With no centre backs on the bench, if we lose Moore or De Laet, we are in significant trouble.

Line Ups

Leicester: Schmeichel; Simpson, De Laet, Moore, Garbutt; King, Drinkwater; Mahrez, Powell, Kramaric; Ulloa. Subs: Hamer, Konchesky, Knockaert, Wood, Taylor-Fletcher, Hammond, Vardy.

Liverpool: Mignolet; Johnson, Skrtel, Sakho, Moreno; Gerrard; Lucas, Allen; Coutinho; Lambert, Borini. Subs:
Ward, Shawcross, Sterling, Balotelli, Can, Flanagan, Markovic.

Goal Fest at the King Power

Well, as returns to the top flight go, it was certainly very entertaining! Our make shift defence did a reasonable job, but an unfortunate own goal by Liam Moore did open the flood gates a little. Borini justified his start with two clean finishes as well, as we scored twice; either side of a Coutinho wonder goal.

To have more possession than Liverpool is very pleasing, and we created some nice chances. With our first choice defence back, we should look good.

Garbutt had a poor debut, as did Ulloa and Simpson, but Kramaric took his chance very well. Powell was reasonable, but with the game lost, we subbed him off to give Knockaert some match time on his return from injury.

Next up, we will have a summary of the rest of August, where we will play Spurs, and we also have the Capital One Game to look forward to.

Unlucky start there mate but you managed to score two against a top team and out-possessed them, gotta take the positives!

Best of luck for the rest of August.

Cheers mate! Hopefully once my team is fully fit again, I'll be able to put up an even sterner test.

Unlucky against Liverpool but its not a bad result, shows your team does have some fight in them!

Cheers mate, if the team plays like that for all 38 games this season, I'll be more than happy.

August Results Round Up

After the Liverpool game, we had three more games to contend with, which saw us end the month strongly.

The stats don't tell the full story here. 2 disallowed goals for us, and a stonewall penalty not given cost us at least a point. Despite this, there were some good performances, notably from Andy King and Richie De Laet.

Our first win of the season sees us through to the next round of the cup. We left it late though, but two goals for Ulloa was pleasing to see after coming from the bench.

We get a slightly tougher tie in Newcastle, but at the King Power, we will have the advantage.

We finish the month very strongly, as we crush relegation rivals QPR. Kramaric nets his first hattrick for the club in a quality performance, whilst the large margin allowed us to bring Matty James and David Nugent on to gain match fitness.

If we can still be in 12th at the season, I'll be more than happy. As it is, we make a strong start from which we need to capitalise.

Transfer Rumours

With Leicester handed a larger war chest, the rumour mill has hit full flow. Both Manuel Schiedebach and Ignacio Camacho have been sighted in Leicester over the last few hours.

Leicester are also being linked to an unnamed defender as they look to be one of the big movers of deadline day.

Four in, Two out in busy day at the King Power

Manuel Schmeidebach

The Colombian defensive midfielder joins us for a £3m fee, which I consider to be cheap given his talents. He'll be a good option for us this year, especially against the bigger teams.

Ignacio Camacho

The talented 24 year old midfielder from Malaga joins for £3.7m, again a fee we consider to have done very well with. Alongside Schmeidebach and Cambiasso, we have a trio of very talented midfielders, and we now look exceptionally strong in the centre.

John Souttar

A cheap fee of 1.9m sees Dundee Utd's best prospect join us. With the future definitely in mind on this signing, we agreed to leave John in Scotland for a year to ensure his continued development.

Jordan McGhee

We also sign another Scottish centre back prospect, as McGhee joins us from Hearts for 2.1m. Like Souttar, he'll be loaned to his old club for the year, with a view to joining up with the squad as a first teamer next season.

So, a successful transfer window for us, as we strengthen our squad, whilst getting it set for the future. With the team available to us, survival looks even more possible.

Some interesting signings there mate!

The two cm's were vital, as mine do a lot of running, so I'll need to rotate fairly regularly. Souttar and McGhee both look promising, and I wanted to secure them before someone else did. However, I can't afford to blood them this season, so they are best off in Scotland, given how left I late doing the deals.
