What Roles and Duties Best suit my players?

i just bought mikel arteta with arsenal and i plan to play him as a central midfielder,what role should he be given there and when he is playing as an attacking midfielder what role should he be given?

he makes a pretty good advanced playmaker - attack

be it in cm or amc

try playing higuain as a poacher and lukaku as a target man - attack with 'mixed'

Pepe - Central Defender - Cover or Defend

Poli - Deep Lying playmaker or Advanced Playmaker Attack
Ramires - Central Mid Attack
Sahin - Advanced Playmaker - Attack
Montolivo - Advanced Playmaker - Attack
Gerrard - Box to Box
Khedira - (not on game now, maybe Central Mid - Defend or Support or Deep Lying Playmaker - Support)
