What Roles and Duties Best suit my players?

What settings for my Defensive Midfielder so he can interrup, sweep and vacum balls and opstruct the opponents game. Also what's best setting for attacking full back and my strike is tall good in jumping and heading but score like 2 headers in hole season, in 2010 Cardozo scored like 10 per season even more sometimes.

Hello I am Managing Villarreal(2011-2012.)
Prefers formation 4-1-2-1-2.

DMC = deep lying playmaker = Bruno.

RM = Advanced playmaker = Clement Griener / Cani

LM = Ball winning midfielder = Marcos senna / Kara / Carlos marchena (occasionally)

AMC = Inside forward / Att mid = Ivan raktic / Kakuta (loan)

ST1 = Trequartista = Nilmar / Rossi

ST2 = Advanced forward = Altidore / Ruben

They only score 1 to 2 goals per game. is there any way to make them score more by altering there player roles and duties?

annan - anchor man - defend
arteta - advanced playmaker - support
fellaini - box to box mid or central mid - support
witsel - advanced playmaker - attack
cahill - box to box mid of attacking mid - attack

And Wilshere's position and role. I'm using him as a AMR and Inside Forward at the moment.

Also Nasri and Arshavin, would they be better off as Attacking Midfielders when playing AMC or would either one be a better Advanced Playmaker. Or should I stick them on the wings.

If anyone could help me with this, then thanks. And my main formation is 4-2-3-1.

I use Wilshere as a Winger with Birmingham (As I have Defour and Dorrans as playmakers), doesn't have the attributes to be an Inside Forward IMO. Albeit I have him moving into channels and being creative.
