How can you like the git? Just the sheer arrogance of the man is incredible.

From what I've seen (granted it's not much, I only follow the 3 tours and some of the classics) he's always credited his team and gone out of his way to thank his lead out men. And I think he's just a few cards short of a deck rather than deliberately arrogant personally.

Right, but if you understood the etiquette of cycling you'd know that if a race leader has a technical problem or is answering the call of nature or has a fall, you wait. You certainly do not attack. And for your information, he made 39 seconds on Schleck in the time trial - Schleck could have made a minute or more if Contador hadn't attacked.

No, but that's not cycling is it. That's a 100 metre sprint. The rules are different, the circumstances are different, the etiquette is different. EVERYTHING is different.
