Looking for just a fun team to manage. Ideally in their top league but not necessarily challenging for the title immediately, decent finances and facilities, couple of good youngsters

Anywhere but England

This happens very often to me, I never decide what team to manage! I'm looking for a fun team to manage with a good squad.

Normally i go man united because am a bif fan, but i really need a change ive been thinking of managing altrincham and doing a story line to it on here aswell.

Anyone ever managed altrincham?

Or anyone have any ideas who i can manage?

I find lower league management a lot more challenging, and ultimately a lot more rewarding than taking the reigns of a team already built for European Football etc. (Although I'm playing a casual Arsenal game right now until the transfer window closes).

I find a lot of enjoyment in building up my own team from the lower leagues, hiring staff, and re-shaping a team from top to bottom, and then seeing the rewards of good (and of course sometimes terrible!) results out on the pitch. Building up a small team into the best they can be, or at least starting off small as a manager and working my way up through the leagues with different teams is an amazing feeling when it happens.

So to answer your question, go for Altrincham! No matter what the team in the BSN or BSS, I've had similar experiences. More patience is required as this level, but I got much more enjoyment getting my Oxford City team into the Blue Square Prem compared to winning the Premier League with Chelsea.

Looking to doing a story lien to it on here so will keep you all update with my progession with altrincham football club :)

Thanks WarroOxford :)

played with spurs this year and done 4 seasons so far and won everything. so there's not much point in continuing.

want more of a long term save now, where it will take atleast a few seasons for a title chance, and focus on the future with regens. and aim to be the best and richest team in the world after 10-15 years.

the last 3 FM's ive only played with english teams as i like to know the teams/players im playing against, but as im focusing on a long term save thats gonna be full of regens in the end, i dont necessarily need to be an english team.

but i'd still rather manage in either england, spain or italy, because in all the other leagues theres only a couple big teams that will be a challenge. i want to start in the top league or with a team in the 2nd tier that can get promoted first season. want good youth facilities and a fairly young squad.

thanks alot

I think Villarreal would tick most of them boxes, people forget they got relegated into Liga Adelante so maybe try there.

I'm going to do the injury challenge. Anyone have a club that i should try this out in? I'm mostly in for premier league, but i'm also very open to everything else. :)

Want to manage a team that has a good youth set up, Decent squad in: England, Spain, Italy, Holland,Germany

Hi guys I want to be one of the big European teams with money I have been doing lower league management for a while and want something fun but not really really really easy, so what big teams are the more challenging obviously not barca,Madrid, united or city any ideas? I want to be in Europe definitely

Stade rennais in France have a great youth system, Ajax is an obvious one, Bayern Leverkusen have a few decent youths in Germany, derby in England or crystal palace or ipswich

Bayer Leverkusen is a a good season but reasonably easy they have some fantastic players already schurlle and bender who are young and world class already, they are already in Europa cup so your minimum expectation should be champions league qualification if not title challenger in your first season, one of my my most enjoyable was Hannover Germany, espanyol I'm not really sure on but the German league is very very enjoyable

a mediocore team in england but have good youth facilities+some fund to shop cheap wonderkid+easy to sell the current player

what about having a go with liverpool ? seems quite a decent challenge
