How about Dong Fangzhuo? Manchester United player one day now in the Portuguese first division with Portimonense S.C.

I don't have my FM open at the moment, so if somebody could check out these players and post screenies of the ones they find, that'd be really good!

2. Bryan Bergougnoux (Formerly of Lyon)
3. Rudolf Skacel (Formerly of Southampton)
4. Marek Saganowski (Formerly of Southampton)
5. Curro Torres (Formerly of Valencia)
6. Paulo César Wanchope (Formerly of Man City, gotta love him!)
7. Kevin Stuhr-Ellegaard (Formerly of Man City)
8. Fabrice Fernandes (Formerly of Southampton)
9. Federico Arias (Formerly of Southampton)
10. Abdeslam Ouaddou (Formerly of Fulham)

Some of these may still be playing top level football, but I don't know... Someone please find out! :)
 
The biggest "Whatever happened to him" has got to be American Freddy Adu. At 14, he was with DC, going to become the next biggest Maradona, the best in the world etc., 7 years later, he's plying his trade at Greek team Aris, on loan from Benfica. Epic fail springs to mind unfortunately here :(
 
JayB1, we were going to loan him out before the season started. Would loved to have seen him in English football. Ah well, fail I suppose, yeah! :) Also, could someone check out my list (Lazarus?) :D

yeah he had a trial at United before joining Benfica, glad we didn't sign

Not as much as some of the others since we all remember him, but a pretty classic example.

as I'm American, it's actually sad what hype can do to players. There's another guy for Philadelphia called Jack McInerery who's 17 and the same type of player - I hope he doesn't follow suit :(
 
I've done some Wiki research for myself from my list, but would still like some screenies of the one's that are still screenie-able. :)

2. Bryan Bergougnoux (Formerly of Lyon) Playing for Lecce in Italian Serie B
3. Rudolf Skacel (Formerly of Southampton) Playing for Hearts again, after playing for Slavia Praha and Larissa in Greece before hand.
4. Marek Saganowski (Formerly of Southampton) Playing for Atromitos in Greece, after playing for AaB in Denmark.
5. Curro Torres (Formerly of Valencia) Playing for Gimnàstic de Tarragona in Spain, after being loaned out to many other Spanish teams, and making 119 apps for Valencia.
6. Paulo César Wanchope (Formerly of Man City, gotta love him!) Retired in 2007 after playing for Chicago Fire, FC Tokyo and Rosario Central. He is now a coach, so maybe someone can screenshot him if he's on FM?
7. Kevin Stuhr-Ellegaard (Formerly of Man City) Playing for SC Heerenveen, after playing for Hertha BSC and Randers FC.
8. Fabrice Fernandes (Formerly of Southampton) Retired, after playing for Dinamo Bucharesti and Le Havre.
9. Federico Arias (Formerly of Southampton) Dissapeared completely from the footballing world. Not even on Wikipedia! :O
10. Abdeslam Ouaddou (Formerly of Fulham) Playing for Lekhwiya Sports Club in Qatar after playing for AS Nancy and Olympiacos.
 
That fella who played for everton, Manuel fernandez was it? He looked good..

i remember the goal, i remember the game, two nil down away to everton, about to throw away the lead on the prem and hand initiative to chelsea for their 3rd straight title... then 4 United goals in the last 30 mins (including a Chris Eagles screamer) and Chelsea drawing effectively sealed the title in Uniteds favour


what happened to Eagles?
