Reay on loan at Whitley
Blyth Spartans young striker Shaun Reay has been signed by Whitley Bay for the rest of the season. Earlier reports said Ceri Roberts had rejected a new contrct and manager Soulsby said he needed a strong striker incase of the worst of Ceri leaving. He will be able to make his debut against local rivals Bedlington next wednesday.
Whitley Bay 1 - 1 Bedlington ( Robson )
Good day for Whitley as they steal a draw against local rivals Bedlington. Robson's goal was just one minute after Terriors and it was always looking like a draw.
Whitley Bay 4 - 0 Darlington RA ( L.Reon 2, Robson, Roberts )
What a way to kick off the new year with a home hammering to a strong side. It only took 15 secods for Leon Ryan to open the scoring. Darlington did try to get a goal back but they couldnt get passed a solid Jason Jones.
Bishop Auckland 0 - 1 Whitley Bay ( Reay )
Reay finally gets his 1st goal for Whitley and it was one of the best he will ever score. Evan though Bishop were unbeaten in there last 5 games they stud no chance against a hungery away side. An away win!, they dont come often.
Whitley Bay 2 - 2 Ryton ( Reay 2 )
Iam really happy with the lads with a draw against one of the best teams in the league. We were winning most of the game but they pulled back late on. At least it looks like Reay is getting settled in now which is a good sign.
