I don't think so, it's just a different type of rap

It isn't, it's grime/hip hop, elements of dubstep and drum&bass. It's wrong to call it rap.

grime is rap imo but not as good but rap is world wide and grime is london

Most people being linked on this thread are an extremely simple type of rap, with little talent. A lot of the mainstream artists now are almost just "talking" over a beat, they get big because of their personality and how well a music boss can sell them to the general public, they don't write their own music, and if they do the lyrics are very basic. The "real" rappers have an immense flow to the way they rap, and can write extremely intelligent rhymes and lyrics for their songs, and craft a story through their music. This is a rarity in modern music.

Listening to it and haven't heard one of them rap yet, it's some sort of grime song :S

Game Over is not grime. It's UK Rap.

If you want Grime, listen to;

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ORcxL-Ln-ao"]THIS[/ame] or [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzU5Q4uI3iw"]THIS[/ame].

Tinie Tempah is not a grime artist and he's not a rapper. He's a Talker. He talks over a skippy beat to give the illusion he is rapping/MC'ing.. he used to rap. Listen to his 'Wifey Riddim' track when he was underground, but now he talks over a Drum n Bass beat as he knows it sells records.

Best UK Rapper at the moment without a doubt, going on lyrical talent and flow is Wretch 32.

This is his new track.

Everything about this guy leads me to believe he will take of the rap game

I dislike today's rap scene, but I do like rap.

Favourites include CYNE, Notorious BIG, Big L and Nas.

It's absolutely awful, not rap in my opinion.

Hate grime, hate artists like Tinchy Stryder who people are convinced raps, and essentially gives rap a bad name, when rap can be a really good music genre.

Rage against the machine covered it, both versions are very good though. :)

Linkin Park and Beastie Boys ain't rap :S

I really like This Plane by Wiz Khalifa, i got it as my ringtone. Bunch of other songs I really like, but can't name the artists off the top of my head.

I like all sorts of music, I try to diversify and rap certainly fills a niche for me.

Nas is old school, Aesop Rock is one of the best around, and Eyedea & Abilities were really innovative, great take on rap/hip-hop. A **** shame the rapper died last year. Personally, I think all of these are incredibly relevant and showcase the better side of rap and hip-hop.

Few things;

Grime is not totally different from rap, but it isn't rap.
Devlin is a rapper.

Favourite Artists (Alive): J.Cole, Jay Electronica, Jadakiss, Lowkey, DVS, Wretch 32, Lupe Fiasco, Nas, Styles P etc.
I'm adverse to people like Rick Ross, Wocka Flocka, Chipmunk but I do think Drake is good.
