Just sold Clichy for 45m in the 10/11 transfer window. Need suggestions for a replacement.

I realise that now mate lol, like I say this is my first football manager game, (apart from 2007 which I barely went on) and I'll be a lot more cautious in future. Was 12.5m+nani for adler start of 2nd season good? Adler then only conded like 25 in 55 games for me that season, so I guess that was good.

I found a great young striker to buy. His name is Erwin Müller (BEL) and he plays with te 2nd division team "Turnhout" at the start of the game. He's 16 years old and would probably make a first team regular from the start with a mid table Belgian first division team. I bought him as Club Brugge, one of the top teams, for 160k.. so very cheap! You can put him with your reserves for a season or loan him out if he's not good enough to be a substitute or first team player in your team yet.

Just now actually the "Wanted" sign came up and it's AC Milan and Villareal who are interested. So there must be something to him then ;)

I believe he has the potential to become a top class striker! :D Screenshot attached
 
I need a backup goalie who wont complain at not being played for a league winning squad.

you could try ageing keepers like

neil sullivan
adriano basso
fredrico villar

not sure if they would settle as backup, though thats all i can think of for now
