Exactly my question. Why you think without signings we will fall behind? You think we will have the same defensive injury crisis next season too. Looking at Nani form and how he has improved we got a new player, Hargo is Back so will be Anderson. Macheda will be getting more mins than this term. Owen will be back as he missed last few games where we needed him.

i thought you ment chelsea need serious replacements?? lets break this utd team down brown and o'shea not the players they used to be. smalling a rushed signing i belive. obertan needs work, hargreaves will have lost some of what he had thats inevitable. carrick not the player he used to be. berbatov pretty much poor owen injury prone and how you can say hernandez will slot straight in abysmel. and diouf unexpierenced. im not saying its a bad side but i just belive if chelsea buy and arsenal buy you will get left behind.
If you break down in that way every team needs signing and regarding o'shea you are wrong, He had his best season last year and was injured this season. He is better squad player to have.
Smalling is way down the pecking order. So he has time on his side.
Hargo might not be back to the same level and you expect essien to be back everytime he is injured,
Carrick is anyday better than Deco, Mikel and many of your dead wood.
Berbatov scored more goals than Anelka. You might say assists, but berba pass that led to assists are not counted.
Hernandez might need time to get used to league or he might flop. So can Aguero. Just coz he played well in La liga doesnt mean he will be a hit here. Every signing is a risk, we have to live with it.
Owen is much much better than any third striker in league.

The same player who missed a tap in all of a sudden is level above Berba? Berba is having a poor season, but to say Anelka is level above is way too much and every day of the week i would rather have Berba, And as i said earlier, If SAF thinks squad is good enough then it is good enough, He knows the players well and also what is needed.

Mikel is 23 and what is smalling's age then? 40 to write him off. Its simple. You rate your players and we rate ours. Nothing can change fixed opinions.
smalling could be a good player but it looks like as soon as utd bought him he sufferd from media attention. and when did anelka miss a tap in that was kalou, and ferguson is stubbourn simple as that hes not used to defeat and making bad desitions so his not going to admit berba has been bad. anelka can play on his own or with drogba berbatov has struggled with rooney and without rooney. i said it the other day i belive he plays better when his the 'big fish' in a little pond.

They both bring completely different things to their respective teams.
Anelka brings pace, skill and a good goal threat.
Berbatov is a team player, is skillful with a great touch and is a phenomenal link up player.
Yes he's struggled, but Anelka struggled the first 2 seasons he was at Chelsea aswell. This season, when the pressure is on big time, is when we'll see if Berbatov was truely a flop or not. He knows that he isn't a dead cert to start anymore and hopefully that will make him try even harder. We all know that if a striker is low on confidence, he struggles to score. It's not the not scoring that matters though, it's when the player doesn't get chances and he has been having plenty of chances, but his lack of confidence has led to him missing those chances. I think the summer break came at a good time for him, and I hope we don't sell him, because he could prove vital. The hunger he will show could make him an incredible threat, or he could be same old lazy Berbatov and be useless.
Didn't Anelka go about 4 months without a goal?.. Nobody mentioned anything about that but because Berbatov cost more than Anelka, it was made to be a big thing despite him scoring for us.
I think this season is when we can decide how good Berbatov really is for Manchester United.. this is his make or break year IMO.
But this is all opinion, and you are entitled to your own. But to say that Anelka is better than Berbatov and that's that is just plain wrong.

21 goals in 64 appearences is good enough for me just because all the gay chelsea fans think he is **** dont mean we do. We actually believe in our players. Shevchenko was ****, Crespo was ****, Mateja Kežman was a flop and Deco had a promsing start but he is also a flop and will be leaving.
