Why does no-one try and emulate the special one??

I always se people trying to emulate the great Barca and i see why but why not try and emulate the only man who can stop them?
 
He hasn't really stopped them though has he, lets be honest
 
I'd like to see a 433 created based on his days at Chelsea. Two flying wingers, big strong strikers, midfielders joining up and overlapping full backs. Not the nicest football in the world, but solid and effective and getting the ball forward quickly.
 
99% of us here plays football and we always like it attractive..
most are emulating Barca because of this. dont forget the mighty Arsenal too.

im not saying Mourinho is not a good manager, he is a living legend!
still, kudos to all managers in this forum who always tries to play attractive football
and building their team with youth players!

I don't think 50 passes between Valdes-Pique-Alves in 5 minutes is attractive...
 
I see ur point guys but if u installed Jose's system then the youth could work into it and make a mighty team. And Inter Milan under Jose stopped Barca boring yes but effective
 
im thinking of trying to create formations of his myself but would need the info to work from and btw i love playing attractive football currently trying to install it at coventry but sometimes a ruthless style is needed
 
So far in the spanish season he is stopping them, i think Mourinho is like marmite, u either hate him or love him, i absolutly adore him, i support liverpool but have always admired the great man, he is a cocky so and so, but he is the best at his job, so he has every right to be like this, hope fergie stays on at utd so mourinho can come to liverpool instead ;)
 
What happened with Inter Milan then? Barcelona got owned in that first leg in San Siro. I think Mourinho will do Barcelona over this year theyre 6 points clear in the league. It would be nice to see the ref humpers get hit down a peg or two.
 
Everyone who doesn't try to emulate Barca are trying to emulate Jose, tbh.

No idea why anybody wants to emulate either of those styles, they are both ugly.. Uglier than Stoke.

Would be good if someone did his real madrid tactic this year. I like what he's doing this year a lot, scored more than barcelona!
 
Im ready to do his porto, chelsea, inter and real ones due to being on holiday from uni if people can find information for them

Don't think he'd consider joining Liverpool tbh. Firstly, he really wants to replace Ferguson. Secondly, Luis Garciagate ;)

They play beautiful attacking football. But defensively they are ugly. When Barca are in possession at the back they are horrible and dull to watch. Their referee raping is ugly too. Jose can play ugly football, he hasn't had to much with RM but if you've ever seen Barca v RM then you will know the ugly football he can make his players play. At least Stoke are genuine with their football. (;

Their referee raping is really ugly,i agree,but you must have in mind the rivality that these clubs share.So,for me,is comprehensible that the referee is going to suffer.
But i don't agree when you say that Barça are horrible to watch when they're at back.Barcelona starting of play is calm and well passed.Valdez distribute to a DC that comes back at the side of the area.This DC passes to the Leftback or Rightback or directly to Xavi,when they face a high pressing mark.Even Messi can come to help the ball pass through the midfield and get to the attack,where they maintain possession and create chances.
Also,when they try to counter attack a team you can see fast triangles being made in the defense and the ball quickly moving up to Messi or Iniesta.All that can be made because Barcelona has some very good techniques defenders,such as Abidal and Piqué.

About Mourinho,he is the master of defense(look fo internazionale against barcelona videos) and getting FAST counter attacks.That's why he's so successful,and the same style is used with RM.

People really have very short memories when it comes to football.

The Great Ajax teams
Classic liverpool
Holland durign total football
The 4 great Brazil sides
Arsenal invincibles

all thise sides played some truly beautiful football, arguably better jose and pep at times. Thats why i dont emulate barca, or real. Because there is a far more football out, at lot of it just as good, if not better, becuase these teams often defined it.
