Why does SI hate Chelsea defenders?

Did you actually just compare Phil Jones to Vincent Kompany? And then come out with stats in an attempt to make Jones look the better player.

Obviously i know that Kompany is the far better player (best CB in the league in my opinion) and i know that he's done the business for many more years than Jones, but i cant stand it when people slate Jones, when he doesn't deserve it in my opinion. I'm trying to provide a comparison to a well respected defender, and Jones compares well against him. There are a few i didn't include for the sake of my argument (Jones conceded 0.4 more fouls per game and was dribbled past 0.1 more times per game) To be fair i think i raised a decent argument with the use of stats haha.

Also, where did you get 5 foot 11 from? Jones is 6 foot 1. That's only three inches shorter than Kompany, and considering most forwards and wingers are under 5 foot 10, I'd expect him to be winning aerial duels. There'd be something wrong if he couldn't out jump a player who's 5 foot 8.

Various places say different heights for Jones, he's either 1.8 or 1.85 meters. Sorry but where on earth are you getting the idea that every forward in the premier league is 5 foot 8? I cant find a BPL team (other than Chelsea) that have consistantly used a striker under 180 cm, so i'm not too sure what you're on about.
