Unknown Broadhurst Handed Mangerial Post at Liverpool
In the biggest shock ever in football history young rookie Michael Broadhurst aged only 18 has been surprisingly handed the managers role at the Merseyside Club. Many fans have questioned what the owners where thinking employing such an inexperienced boss with managers like Martin O'neill still out of work and was many bookies favourites to take the role. When asked to explain his decision Liverpool Owner John Henry replied "
I believe that Broadhurst was the ideal man for this job. at this interviews that where held Broadhurst was the stand out candidate with his great knowledge of football, his passion for the game and the ambition he has to take this Football Club back where it belongs at the summit of English football. Many people may think i have gone mad for appointing him as boss at such a big club but time will tell and i can promise you Broadhurst will be a big success at this club for many years to come and the good thing is he has youth on his side."
Broadhurst was then interview in front of Sky Sports Cameras and was asked how he felt at being appointed the dream job for him at such a young age he said. "
Words can't describe how i feel at this moment i am utterly overwhelmed and delighted at being appointed the succeeder to Roy Hodgson. With being a Liverpool fan all my life i believe myself to be perfect for this role i believe i will be more passionate about this club than any other candidate. I know there will be alot of pressure and expectations on my shoulders but i am sure i can handle that and put the mini crisis behind our club and bring back trophies to Anfield. And i will hope to prove to fans who may doubt my appointment that it was a good decision by Mr Henry."
Liverpool will be looking to bounce back from a very poor season but will Broadhurst be able to prove his worth only time will tell.
Broadhurst Identifies Key Players for the season ahead
Stevie G will always be the influential skipper and is one of the best central midfield players in the world he has been at this club many years now and is in the latter stages of his career but he will still be the most important player for us this season. he has the ability to control games by himself and i hope to bring out the best of him.
El nino when on form in my opinion is the best striker in the world i know last season he had many injuries and weren't at his best form so i hope to reinstall some confidence to his game and get him playing back at his best level again. fingers crossed he picks up no knocks
Daniel Agger with Jamie Carragher very near to retirement and drifting further from the first team squad Daniel will have a big role to play at the club now and i will be looking to him to be in control of the defence and really show his ability.
Pepe Reina is defiantly the best goalkeeper in the premier league and was handed the perfect reward for his fine form by being voted our best player for last season he is the most consistent player in the squad and hope he will save us quite alot of points again this season to push us close to the top
Transfers
Oscar Cardozo Brought in for £11.5 million as a well needed strike partner to Fernando Torres it may take time for him to settle in to the english game but i believe this to be a brilliant capture
Keisuke Honda cost £11.25 million i brought him in so we can have more options in the centre of midfield as i believe we are short on quality players in the area of the field
Philippe Mexes cost £6.25 million brought in as a replacement for the outgoing Carragher well expereinced player and a great centre back hopefully the missing piece to us being a top side again
