Cardiff City have today announced the departures of winger Craig Noone and striker Will Keane

Winger Noone, 29, has left the Bluebirds to join cash-rich Leeds United, owned by Chilean tycoon Luis Rivera, for £3.5m

The English winger has joined the Yorkshire side, who sit 10th in the Championship, on a 1 and a half year contract worth £18,500 per week

Noone made 134 league appearances for Cardiff over 5 years, lifting the Sky Bet Championship with them in 2013

The other departure is former Manchester United striker Will Keane, who has joined Nottingham Forest for £350,000

The 24 year old Englishman never set the world alight at Cardiff, making just 6 appearances in just over a year at the club, he didn't score a single goal

It is believed he has been moved on to clear the path of young strikers Fresnel Diba, Mark Kennedy and Dusan Perovic, all of whom are tipped to have bright futures at Cardiff

CARDIFF DRAW SWANSEA IN FA CUP FOURTH ROUND

View attachment 154849 View attachment 154848
Fans of South Wales rivals Cardiff City and Swansea City have today woken up licking their lips at the prospect of a South Wales derby in the FA Cup Fourth Round

Cardiff, who have squeezed into the fourth round after beating Reading 2-1 in a replay, will host the tie which will be played on the 28th of January

Cardiff City manager, Matthew Hawkins, from Cardiff, is looking forward to the tie

"It's going to be massive, we haven't played the Jacks since the Premier League so it'll be interesting when we play each other"

Many bookmakers have labelled Swansea, who are 16th in the Premier League as the favourites for the tie, with Championship side Cardiff given little chance of beating their Premier League rivals

CITY'S JANUARY SIGNINGS, WHO ARE THEY?

Cardiff City have made 5 firs team signings in the January transfer window and the South Wales Echo asks, who are they?

ADAM FORSHAW
View attachment 154613
25 year old Englishman Adam Forshaw has joined Cardiff City from Middlesbrough for a bargain £1.8m. The midfielder, who is comfortable playing in the middle, in the hole and on the right, will proved great versatility to manager Hawkins' squad as he pushes for a promotion spot.

JULIO PLEGUEZUELO
View attachment 154610
Former Arsenal defender Julio Pleguezuelo, 20, has joined Cardiff on a four year deal from Liga Adelante side Sporting Gijon. The Spanish defender has joined the Bluebirds for £1.8m, but has loaned back to Spain until the start of March as part of the agreement. A good all round defender who can play it out from the back he will be a welcome addition to Hawkins' squad

JOE WILLIAMS
View attachment 154588
The third signing is that of 20 year old English midfielder Joe Williams from Everton for a fee of £300,000. The 20 year old will be used primarily as backup to Joe Ralls, Nick Powell and Yaser Kasim, it is thought that Williams was held in high regard by coaching staff at Everton and it has confused many that he has been let go so cheaply
View attachment 154586

ALAN GRAHAM
View attachment 154585
The fourth signing is that of Scottish Under-19 international Alan Graham from Aberdeen for £160,000. The 17 year old was being monitored by clubs such as Celtic before Cardiff swooped, signing him for a snip at £160,000. Graham can play in the centre and out on the right and has the potential to be a first teamer in a few years

DONYELL MALEN

The final signing is that of 18 year old Dutch striker, Donyell Malen, on loan from Arsenal until the end of the season. The Dutch Under-21 international, who has scored 8 goals in 13 games for the Dutch U-21 team has joined Cardiff to play backup to strikers James Wilson and Sam Vokes and also to replace outgoing striker Idriss Saadi, who joined Palermo in a deal believed to be worth £3.8m

It was important to win after our loss to Arsenal and we did.. just. Arsenal loanee Donyell Malen bagged a goal that was both the winner and his first goal for the club, sending 24,000 in attendance under the floodlights into raptures

More than 29,500 saw us beat Derby 3-1 on a wet day in Cardiff. Adam Forshaw got us off to the perfect start but it took two second half goals from Wilson and Rossiter to get us over the line

An even, surprisingly open match between two teams at opposite ends of the table. Ipswich put up a good fight and deserved their point to be fair to them

We came, we saw, we conquered. An away game against play off chasing Fulham was always going to be tricky but we held firm for all 3 points, with James Wilson knicking it at the end

BUMP! Back don to Earth with a 3-2 loss to mid-table Villa, in fairness it was a heavily rotated side following the promotion on Saturday, this game was played on a Monday for some reason. Our first league loss of 2016
