wow…first game with newcastle and won 6-3 against swansea :) had lots of injuries in defence so they were a bit disorganised but the attacking play was brilliant

wow 4 games in loving this tactic with chelsea
Arsenal away won 3-2
shrewsbury home (fa cup) won 8-0
man utd away won 7-2
leicester away won 5-1

gonna try it with my beloved hull later

HOOZAR! xPer returns! your tac was 100% my favourite on fm14! Definitely giving this a go, my friend!

Still going strong for me, starting to get a bit leaky, had 3 3-3 draws...

Just tried it with Gelsenkirchen, smashed Leverkusen 6 0 at home; not even a danger for my GK. Sidney Sam was the key in every game I had too. Awesome for now, I will give a sum up when my season will be halfway I think.

I was playing with Ajax when PSG offered me the job. I took them with your tactic from place 11 to place 4.
Now in the next season I played 15 won 15 in the league. Wil post screens later.

I'm currently playing with Leeds, on a 20 match unbeaten run.

I'm playing only with the Away & Counter versions, switching in game between the 2, dependent on how the match is going / what the score is. The few games that have finished in draws are because I've made bad decisions, switching to counter too early or starting with counter instead of Away.

Haven't really had the need for the Home tactic yet.

Yes Home tac is very offensive and you need to have strong midfielders and good defensive line.
With Home tac you will dominate but if you see that opponent is strong and they are attacking you from time to time
its better to switch to Away tac. For lower teams it might be better to use only Away & Counter tac.

Tip: You can move down Roaming Playmaker to the DM position on Home tac for better defense. Just slide 1 move down and don't center his position on the field.
( don't do this if your RM player isn't "green" on DM position)

In your experience mate, when is a good time to switch in game between Away and Counter? I think I've nearly nailed it but would be good to get your opinion.

Well it depends on the opponent you play and situation on field.
If you play at Home always start with Away tac. You don't have to change to Counter tac to control the game.
Use Touchline Team Talks for that.
Shout Concentrate when you are leading and Tighten Up on 70-75 min of the match. Your team will be seeting deeper and focus much more on defending and protecting the lead.
Remember that changing to Counter tac on Home match might be worst decision you think. Your team is moving back on your half side and allows opponent for making chances. It's always better to play on opponent side then yours on Home match.
If you play against really strong opponent (Big Boy) you are winning and they are press you really hard then you can switch to counter. Its also a good idea to switch to the Containt mentality but only AFTER 75 minute and check Waste Time on very same moment.
If you play AWAY and you score a goal just switch to Counter immediately - it usualy works. If they score switch back to Away tac and use Touchline Team Talks.
If you play AWAY agains much more stronger opponent just play all the time with Counter - no matter what. Changing for Control or Attack mentality its usualy ends bad. Touchline Team Talks, your players form and some luck its only solutions.
Basicly there is no simply scheme how to win on FM every game but Im sure you will find your own style to get best results :)
Good luck!

Cheers I'm doing ok at the moment, been mostly switching to counter when 2-0 up away (as I find that teams will have nothing to lose at this stage).

At home it's rare, but I will usually use it if I see a big shift in the stats, or if a team is on a great run of form (particularly away form).

I haven't really used the touchline shouts yet, but will do so tonight.

Cheers

I'll give this tactic a try. I'll test it with Hoek, a Dutch club (LLM). They are just promoted and have to fight against relegation. I cant play so much these days, because my exams are coming, but I'll try to play as much as possible with this tactic.

There is just one thing I don't get. What about the teamtalks before the match? Do you always let your assistant do them? Or has he to do 5 matches, and the 6th one is your turn? Is that correct?

Thats 2 completely different things.
Team talks before match ask your Assisstant (or you if you want and know how).
Then every 6 matches call Team Meating and price them (different option). Of course dont price them if they loose last 6 matches ;)

Yay!
Got huge success with your 442 for FM14.
So I will defo give this a good run.
