But he scored, which is his main job -- Owen (and many others) made a career out of being non-existent for 89 minutes.

Spurs shouldn't play that bad again so I'm pretty confident they'll ****** it at home.

he wasen't non-exsistant he had alot of the ball and alot of chances.

Those two chances to make it 4-1 have come back to surely knock them out.

I agree - Spurs should win (probably comfortably at WHL, with the crowd, and a real pitch to their benefit.)

Nevertheless, Young Boys will know all they need to do is stop Spurs scoring.. (easier said than done though i think.) Buuut... potentially without Defoe, Pavlyuchenko/Keane will need to step up to the mark again.. Lennon and Modric can make goals themselves though, certainly Modric, so i think Spurs can and should qualify with those away goals.

no cos at 3-1, young boys get a goal and spurs have to get 3 which means pushing forwards and getting smashed on the counter. 3-2 means spurs can play a controlled game at home, nothing flashy, get the goal and control the game out

but home advantage counts for alot in football and especially spurs form at home it is pretty good.

I really disliked our game, if we'll play same on WHL, we won't get any 1-0 win.

Young Boys had plenty of chances to kill off this tie in the second half, Spurs were maybe slightly lucky that it wasnt a bigger team. Next week should be a pretty good match aslong as Young Boys go into it with the belief that they can win and dont just defend for 90 minutes.

but at 3-1 its very egdy, no room for error, at 3-2 suddenly it looks very rosy.

if spurs go through, they simply must sign a genuine lone forward

Fair point, but he can be and then comes up with the goods. It's the way he plays. Unfortunately for us, he isn't a Drogba or Rooney type player, but if you watch him regulary you'll see his finishing is usually very good and he's worth having on the pitch for that.

It's those all important away goals that have basically almost put Spurs through.
3-1 to Spurs in 2nd leg.

I beg of themadsheep2001 not to put up the zonal marking breakdown of this match on a thread. I could not take it.

lol you are going to be slated. sorry but when it's done its going up.

The guy who writes Zonal Marking is an Arsenal fan as well so it could be cruel :P

Signing another central defender, a quick one, would be also good.

Would you really want to give him up just now, when he could easily be worth 20m in a couple of seasons?

For £20m I would, but otherwize, I am quite happy with him, he looked pretty lively last night. Just needs a pacy forward to play with him, to run onto the flick ons.
