Just finished my 5th season with blues.

1st - 6th (lost in play-offs)
2nd - 2nd only to pompey who got the points record.
3rd - 12th in premier league
4th - 11th progression!!
5th - 9th steadily getting up there still havent finished above villa tho.

My premier league has 7 different teams in, QPR, reading, me, scunthorpe, swansea, wolves and leicester so its changed a little, fulham and hull are in league 1 with boro, wigan, stoke, west brom and bolton in the championship.

Got a few regens and unknown younsters too, not a bad little squad i have put together iv tried to keep it as english/british as i possible could too, i like having lots of english players in my squad.

My best signing has been Ivan Rativic on a free transfer from schakle 04 at the start of my 4th season sadly he only lasted one season because then man utd made an 18m offer and the board decided it was too good to turn down.
 
I disable transfers for first window but it happened in january window noone had funds.

Anyway, about my career started as derby played 38 games top and 17 points clear of reading in second and there something like 9 points clear.

I have pretty much normal squad except I have loaned and got a few people on loan these are;
-Emiliano Insua - Season Loan
-Jon Daly - Loan till January
-Diego Tristan - Season Loan
-Hossam Ghaly - Season Loan (from january)
-Bobo Balde - Free

However i tend to swap around my team as it works the best on the game. I would sometimes play savage, carroll and addison on a run of something like 5 games. Only just brought simmons into the team as we are doing so well, he's doing okay but struggles infront of goal. So bring on Tristan last 30 minutes (he can't handle a full game) or bring on ellington/Barnes/Hulse.

Daly was very good, but string of game he didn't make the bench so terminated his season - long loan.

Waiting for next year now, don't want to spend big money if i get it from selling players or just from the chairman etc.... Want to see how the actual derby team with a couple of loans and free signing (well balde) get on in the premiership. Had Everton in the cup, outplayed them most of the game but they scored 93rd minute with a goal that looked offside but looked promising for premiership.

Are they any players I should sign (who would come to derby) or any players i should keep and become hot prospects etc... or just want to know how my team are getting anything to be honest then just leave me a comment on here.
 
Decided to give FM09 a proper go now after ym Celtic game where I was playing one game the getting bored.

Ive started as Arsenal to make it easy on myself.

So far ive not sold anyone decent just a few crappy reserves for free.

after 4 and a half years with Hearts i have moved on to Everton who are 18m in debt and have an aging squad lol

Just finished second season with AFC Wimbledon, won the BSP play offs! In the league now wooop! :D

Jon Main was amazing for the first half of the season, netting 25 goals in the first 30 or so games. Then he went ***** and didn't score for 10 games, so I changed to one up front with Morten Nielsen on loan from Chelsea. He was immense scoring 18 times in 24 games. Probably my best player had to be Daniel Philliskirk on loan from Chelsea. Average rating of 7.47 over 50 games, with 10 goals and 23 assists from centre mid :) Hope I can get him back next season.
 
Wattsy i can tell it means the file is corrupted (guess you kind of knew that before) you would of got this by exiting the game without saving or just powering off your computer without manually shutting down the computer.

Happened to me a couple of times on previous versions because i was powering down and not shutting down.

Does everyone play with transfers in first year as well??

Found it more realistic playing without transfers means you keep the squad at the minute and not play against teams with loads of new transfers like man city on the game.

Just finished my first season with Tottenham, and managed 3rd behind the ****-nal and Chelsea respectively. (Bah!)

After a decent start I was top of the League briefly, then it all drifted away around Christmas and New Year and went to a lowly 8th. Thats when I panicked and starting tinkering with my 4-4-2 formation. Finally settled on a good 4-4-1-1 with Modric sat behind Huntelaar. Pav and Bent in the cold.

Knocked out of all cups during my drop in form.

Season highlights was my unbeaten run of 11 games which propelled me into
3rd which included.....

H 2-0 v Arsenal
A 1-0 v Chelsea
H 1-0 v Man Utd

Huntelaar was joint top scorer in the Prem alongside Yakuba with 20 goals.

Overall a good year, and looking forward to the new season.
 
Started with Hartlepool United, had an average 1st season until march when I had a run of 7 wins on the trot to get me into 5th place, beat Yeovil in playoffs but lost to **** Leeds in the final by what my commentary said "a total fluke" in the 87th minute :mad: 2nd season went well but injuries dogged me in the playoffs again after finishing 3rd but lost out to Milwall in semi's playoffs, just started my 3rd season and i've moved on to Wolves now, drew 2 lost 1 won 2 and in 14th place after 5 games sooo wish me luck!

For those who care i managed to finish 5th with Everton and the money i got from finishing the league got the club out of debt and they now have a 20k balance.

I will need to sign free players and loans next year though, might be a struggle
 
Am in 3rd season with Swansea
got relegated in first (with only 28 points) and nothing went for me @ all
second season came 2nd in league 1 (on goal difference)
made some good free signings (jamie mackie gets good) and buzsaky as well as paying 2.5 million for joe garner (slight waste)
am now 12th in championship after 22 games (so improvement)
 
just started a two player game - i'm cardiff and my opponent pete is sheff wed. i had a series of potential targets listed for the start of the season which included daryl murphy on loan. i had told a friend or two my plans.... BIG MISTAKE! one of them leaked the info to pete! eye witness reports suggest pete had took my friend to a casino until after midnight.

600k to spend, no depth to my squad and pipped to my targets by my arch rival I had to pull some special moves out of the bag. Michael Gray, Lee Hughes, Kiki Musampa, Freddie Ljungberrg, Damien Johnson and a peruvian defender called Rebosio completed permanent deals. Loan signings included Merida from Arsenal, Craig Beattie from West Brom and Zlatan Harsanyi from Bolton.

ive played 8 league games and have as many points, I'm poised 17th in the league and pete is 23rd with sheff wed. i dont feel my league positon reflects my performances and im confident it will improve. the last 4 games ive played birmingham, sheff utd, crystal palace and watford. i've took 5 points which I dont think is too bad. succesfully knocked 2 teams out of the league cup and my next fixture is nottm forest, confident i can scrape the quarters.

My next league fixture is vs Pete and his Wednesday... Cant wait to tonk him!
 
I have nearly finished my 4th season with Q.P.R but have yet to get them promoted,i keep on finishing 7th or 8th GRrrrrrrr!! hopin this is my season with 31 games gone lying in 7th,my strikers choco and balanta are on fire but also want to leave so desperate for promotionm.My chairmans a ******* who keeps on selling all my best players so far i have lost zaki,kevin doyle,glauber and otigba who is a 19 yr superstar defender!!!!

Unbeatable in serie a, got second on champion lose to Barcelona(i think they are imba_
, got italian cup.
I don`t buy any player, and at season begining i dont have defender (all of them injured)
But in my second season, i got trouble with team harmony.
And only got draw in 3 game.

team is highly overrated and possible to keep up even after starting on - 30 points!!!!!
 
In due course I'll do a game with Rotherham

At the moment I am Alaves, currently on a winning streak which is nice but I was on a losing streak so I am mid table.Its a challenge as I have no money and the team isn't very good
 
started with feyenoord and u get a decent squad from the start, but i needed some one with a killer touch so i signed riquelme from bocca.

i won the dutch prem in my first season 6 points above az alkmaar with riquelme being the top scorer with 28

next season won the dutch league the fa cup and got to the first knock out stage of the champs league, then it happend....

ac milan, barcalona and man city came in for all my top players an got them all pissy with me an they wudnt play well from then on an then riquelme refused a new contract after he found juventus after him an eventualy ****** of
 
just started with accrington brought in a couple of players scoring for fun at the minute 6 games in won 6 scored 11 not sure how long it will last though
 
I've got a pretty good network game going with my best m8 and his bro, we picked teams at random and luckily enough i had Reading, won the league in my first season which was easy with the squad and money we had. Just finished 10th in the prem which was pretty good for my first season.

Now i'm debating wether to stay or look for a better job in spain or italy, i've got some promising players like Mattock,Schneiderlin and Gioda, it's a tough choice haha.
