Your most Underrated and Overrated Player and Manager?

Not really, lets be honest with the trial coming up after the Euro's he had to pick one of them. Rio's attitude during and after the trial on Twitter just proved that. Imagine if both were in the squad, it would have caused to much tension.

So drop the one actually under investigation? As opposed to the one not under investigation. Hence the outcry.

That doesn't make him overrated, just not needed.

In the sense that he is always touted as a key player for England, when he really isnt.

Although that absolutely doesnt apply to club form.

Over-Rated players: Reina & Evra.

Over-Rated Manager: Mark Hughes. Not done much at club level.

Under-Rated player: Nathan Dyer & Ramires. I also genuinely have a feeling Durrell Berry will go a long way in his career. (I wasn't going to make a post without mentioning Argyle anyway :))

Under-rated manager: Allardyce & Pulis are often slammed for their style of play but if it gets results, then its a good enough style.

Both were innocent and the one under investigation cleared his name to prove even stronger that he was innocent. Hodgson has to look at footballing reasons and he rated JT over Rio.

I think players will learn from him massively and in these smaller games he can be the difference from a 3-0 win and a 5-0 win as he showed on Friday.

Woah, his name wasnt cleared. The was insufficient evidence. It isnt the same thing, the judge stressed that in particular.

Verdict was after the call ups though?.

But we know we cant deal with smaller games, its bigger ones in future we need to deal with. Would you really want to see him there against France for example?

But we digress, reply to me on the england thread.

But overrated for country, somewhat underrated for club.

overratd player - henderson when at sunderland, downing, heitinga, gallas, wes brown
underrated player - ramires, diaby, kyle naughton, brad guzan, friedel, valencia

overrated manager - hughes
underrated manager - pulis, moyes, aidy boothroyd

I'm sick of this Neymar ****. He's 20 years old and has scored over 100 goals in less than 200 games for Santos, just because the league isn't "big'' doesn't mean he's not a tremendous talent.

Anywho...

Over-rated :

Manager - David Moyes...good, but he isn't "Fergie replacement'' good.

Player - Fellaini...two great games against United this year, but the over reaction from some United fans has been ridiculous. He played as a target man in these two games, yet they're waffling on about him saving our midfield.

Under-rated :

Manager - Pardew

Player - Nani

Over rated
Luka Modric - I just don't get ithe is good but real madrid class not for me
Neymar - yeah he is tearing brazilian league apart but has done nothing yet needs to come to europe to continue his development before risking it stalling. yeah he is only 20 I know but people rave about him like he is world class not yet for me, i think this can also be applied to lucas moura too.
Ramsey - not the same player since leg break hope he comes on this season.
suarez - hate him he is a racist, unsporting, cant hit a barn door, a cheat, no class at all and looks like a ferrit (i know some of these arent ability related) he just is such a poor finisher and greedy.

Under rated - thomas ince for me should've been in england squad rather than sterling (although i know jamaica are sniffing round sterling so it was probably to head them off to show he is in hodgsons thoughts) destroying championship hope blackpool get promoted or a prem club buys him will be a good future winger for england i think.
vorm - class keeper probably next liverpool number 1
Michu - this guy will light up the prem even more this season

Overated Player: Samir Nasri ( Great player at Arsenal), but for City, he just goes missing for entire games then looks peeved when he's subbed???

Underated Player: Mark Noble: His engine is unbelievable, keeps going all game, never shys away from a tackle, good at dead balls, long shots, one of the best box to box midfielders in the prem.

Overated Manager: Mark Hughes (all i can say is he must talk a good game to chairman)

Underated Manager: David Moyes. What he has done at Everton, despite having no money, is nothing short of a miracle, constantly top 8. Constantly taking good players and making them into internationals.

With regards to Aaron Ramsey, (personal opinion) but i thought in the olympics he was by far GB's best player, made the whole team tick. There was definitely glimpses of the talent he has, think just needs a bit of time.

Overated player: Stewart Downing, enough said. The bloke is as much as a donkey as Emile Heskey. Still, Stewart Downing isn't the worst player ever to play for England, that has to go to Carlton Palmer.

Overratd player - Neymar. Undoubtedly an amazing player, although he's hyped up too much and is no where near as good as Messi.

Underrated player - Javier Zanetti: 800 games for Inter and still going strong at the age of 39*. Should be held in the same esteem that Giggs, Scholes and Totti are.

Overrated manager - AVB. Good manager had two good club spells in Portugal, but since he's struggled.

Underrated manager - I'd say Rafa Benitez and Roy Hodgeson get my equal vote. Benitez did brilliantly at Valencia and Liverpool and was unlucky to take over Inter after Mourinho where the weight of expectation was to high. Hodgeson has done brilliantly in the Premier League and in Serie A as well as in smaller leagues and national sides. The only manager I can think of to get a second spell with Inter to try steady the ship, a class act as well- Never blamed anyone else for his minor failings in Italy. Deserves to be England manager.

Is he not? I hold Zanetti in the same kind of regard I hold Giggs, Scholes, Maldini and the like.

Same here, the tractor really has been an awesome footballer for the whole of his career!
