I highly recommend starting a new game as a random team ("pick a club for me"). Did it when I couldn't think of anyone new to play as on FM10 and it really worked (made sure not to pick anyone I'd managed before and probably avoided the biggest clubs). My friend did it too and worked for him.

Think there used to be a thread for this last year but couldn't see a fresh one, this seems like a good enough spot. Managed as Spurs (been there 1.5 seasons just coming into 2014/15), came 2nd last year + runner up in FA and Europa League as well as winning League Cup, but... Been offered AC...

Did surprisingly well with free transfers, got Babel + Vanden Borre + Scezeny + Kavianpour + Sodinha + some others so relatively pleased. Still finding it tough, about 6 games in and only managed a win or two + similar number of draws. Just about got my squad blending, now trying to shore up...

I've just got to the start of the 3rd season and Drogba has been released on a free + Gary Neville is managing a Championship side. Not totally unrealistic I suppose.

Any more suggestions on roles/duties for my team? Particulary the strikers as they are having a poor season (Uche scored 25 or so last year in the league whereas has managed about 5 so far this season). I also sometimes drop one striker back to AMC and replace with Anger.
