I found out which player it was, and dropped him (I even tried releasing him on a free transfer) although I still got the sack. So the only thing left for me to do was to add a new manager, and retire my old one. Thanks for that idea Micky.

A friend suggested to me that it may be because I didn't drop a certain player, having been told to by the chairman, although I don't recall being told to drop anybody.
