Completely strikerless but here is the crux:
I PLAY TWO STRIKERS AS THE MEZZALAS. THEY ARE SET TO MAN MARK THE AI'S CENTRAL DEFENDERS. THEY PLAY LIKE STRIKERS BUT THE GAME INTERPRETS THEM AS MCS.
I've only tested it for 15 games as Hertha BSC, season 3. Its so far working wonders. I said my previous tactic would be my last but loving how this works. Top fun.
