Hey guys, this is my 15 Year Transfer Embargo Experiment where I imposed a 15 year long embargo against all of the clubs starting in the top 5 leagues in Europe from the 2019/2020 season! I created this experiment initially for an experiment video over on my YouTube Channel; LSPlaysFM!
As the name suggests, the clubs from the Bundesliga, Premier League, La Liga, Ligue 1 and Serie A have all been given these embargoes and they will last until the end of the 2033/34 season! Therefore meaning that the majority of big teams across Europe will now be unable to sign players and will need to rely solely upon their current squads and their youth academies!
These embargoes however do not affect any sides which get promoted to these leagues from after the first season, so if you are a fan of a 2nd tier side, or would like to have a go at overcoming the big boys across Europe when they are at their weakest then this is the save for you. As you will be able to join a league where no one except you and your promoted counterparts can buy players.
This rule certainly leads to some crazy results as you will see if you choose to use either of my save files (after 15 & 20 years respectively) or if you take a look at my experiment video!
The reason why I have a save file at both 15 and 20 years in is so we could see how the leagues were doing at the end of the embargoes and also after 5 years of the big teams then being allowed to spend money once more.
Overall, this experiment shows just how crazy things in football can become when certain sides are unable to spend money that is for sure.
