The likes of Neymar, Silva, Oscar, Willian, Paulinho, Fernandinho, Marcelo and Dani Alvez really aren't average players imo. They just have an average manager

Neymar is over-hyped hugely and Thiago Silva is the exception I'd say.

I'm just saying by Brazil's high standards of the past, the squad is really totally average.

Apparently the reason why Costa didn't choose Brazil was because Scolari didn't even bother trying to contact him. Surely that's a sackable offense when you consider the next best strikers he had were Fred and Jo

Of course the old Brazilian squads were excellent ... I just don't feel the current Brazilian squad is as bad as some people make it out to be. Some quality players in there

Not many people at all agreed with me, but i though at one point he was the third best player in the world at Madrid - He was absolutely sublime playing behind the striker

He is not playing near that standard now but is still getting unfair stick

I remember an interview when Mata said he looked up to Ozil as a player when he was at Madrid ... Huge praise indeed. Not sure what has happened to Ozil now though. Nowhere near the level he is capable off
 
It is a well known fact that Ozil struggles if he plays past 60 mins of a match. That's the major factor Madrid got rid. He is not the player that people think he is. He gets carried by teams and by other players around him.

Ozil carried Germany through the last couple of tournaments. When he plays well, he is one of the worlds best, but 2014 has definitely not been his year.

IIRC wasn't he top scorer in qualifying for Germany also? He hasn't had the best World Cup but neither have other players difference being he has a decent shout at walking away with a winners medal. World Class AMC for me but I agree just not been his year this season
 
For those who don't know,Brazilian football is falling apart.
First the Brazilian Football Confederation(CBF),is like FIFA,they don't care about football,they care about the money,so basically how controls the Brazilian Football it's a popular media, GLOBO,and they don't care about football either,they care about Brazilian squad,Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.
All clubs have massive debts,the young squads are poorly worked,I can keep going but I don't wanna make this post too long,but this ridiculous score is the reflection of the Brazilian football nowadays.

Predicting a Holland win tonight ... Argentina are over-reliant on a moment of magic from Messi to bail them out every time. Surely such over-dependence will prove fatal this late into the tournament? The other stars really need to step up or else I can see another massacre on the cards today
