RVP was an injury doubt for this game so couldn't last any longer, had no option.

Backs up my earlier point abou penalties ... You can prepare as much as you like, it really boils down to luck and whether you can stay focused mentally on the day itself. If preparation was the sole prerequisite to winning penalty shoot-outs, the likes of Mourinho, LVG and Biesla would never lose any

Just been checking some analysis on previous world cups and the team that has the best goal difference in the group stages between the two finalists goes on to win the World Cup. Apart from 1978 when Holland had the best differential and lost to Argentina.

So Germany have a difference of +5 while Argentina has a difference of +3 from when the groups finished. This should make Germany favourites.

But **** the analysis I am going for Argentina.
