334 PEPPER (POSSESSION + CCC = PERFECTION) #BLISS

I'm switching to v1 for the second season. I'm aware the wingers aren't supposed to provide crosses which is why through balls have made the most assists BUT it's not about crosses made but crosses -completed- so the once they made we're bad but from what I know corners also count in that statistic so might be from poor corners too.

what players did you use on the wings? I've had a suprisingly good season with grasshoppers (v1 again), managing to do the double again. But I also played a amazing season in chamions cup.

- winning against chelsea 5-1 in group stage (at home)
- winning against leverkusen 3-1 in 1st Knockout Rnd (at home) having to red cards after 70mins
- winning against barcelona 4-0 in Quater Final (at home)

Only Juve could stop me in Semi Finals

the only difference I spottet to the previous season is that I signed a crazy right winger for free. He is really, really fast and has some decent defending stats (marking/positioning around 10). I think having two fast wingers with decent defensive stats helps a lot to prevent the crosses ;)

And makes that tactic really strong for home games, maybe you should think about a version that is better in defense for away games :)

defense

My defense are reaally bad! I'm playing with Tottenham, I got Vertonguen, John Stones and Balanta as defenders and they always give away in important games...

Im not finding much success with this tactic, easily concede goals and even have been the wrong side of a 4-0 drumming

After my success with Celtic and going undefeated for 25 games, I then decided to test this with my test parameters with Wolves (I always test tactics with Wolves, mid table championship team, tactics in all 3 slots at start of season, pick my best squad, go on holiday for full season and set AssMan to pick my current selection where possible and use same match tactics)

I still won the league with Wolves in the test and also got to the FA cup final (which no other tactic has done in my test) but the results were not as good as I have seen in other tactics I have tested. I still won the league but finished only on I think 85 points (2 points clear from 2nd place).

I also tested with Borussia Monch. and am getting mixed results. Sitting 3rd in my CL group, only won 2 games, 6th in the league. Not getting hammered by the big teams but against similar strength sides or weaker, I'm definitely not scoring as much as I was in my Celtic save. The biggest problem I am noticing with the BMG save is the defenders are not getting good ratings at all. With my Celtic save, they always performed well. Which is strange because the quality of the defenders with BMG is much higher. I'm also not getting as good performances from the 2 WMs - in my BMG save I am using attacking minded players who are natural WMs but with Celtic I used RB/LB/WB's converted to WMids and got much better results and much higher average ratings. The midfielders I'm playing, again not getting as good results but not as much of a difference. In my Celtic save, at least one midfielder is getting an 8.0 every game.

A good tactic but I think it requires certain type of players, certain attributes, certain moves or something I am not sure. I think I need to look into what the difference is because its performing super with my Celtic team.

I totally agree, this tactic is a beast IF you have fast players and works even better if your wingers have some decent defensive stats too

100% agree that the right player make the tactic special. Don't get me wrong the tactic still works. Will update with a new version at some point this week

Still Newcastle - 2nd season this time v1
Absolutely HORRENDOUS
My wings are playing very well and again my MR is MotM. So you cannot put the fault in that. All positions have quality and after thousands of hours /w FM I won't be bothered with comments about mismangement.
Pure disaster.

I would say that this tactic is 95% great and 5% ...something else.

Let me show you, in one picture, everything wrong with this tactic (and the game in general perhaps)

I would say that 9 out of 10 ten times, this tactic works. You apply pressure, you keep possession and you score (a lot sometimes). But then, once in a while this happens. And it takes away sooo much of the enjoyment from the game.
So its almost like this tactic either works 100% in a match or 0% in a match (almost). Which kind of makes sense as playing with a back 3 often comes with some instability.

When it works, its great, When it doesnt, you are really vulnerable.

I can't figure out what makes the players perform so well.

With my Celtic team, they are basically built for this tactic. Every player always plays well. The defense are solid with Charlie Mulgrew and Efe Ambrose both performing very well and making very little mistakes. The midfield I played Stefan Johansen , Stuart Armstrong and Scott Allan as the DLP - Johansen and Armstrong are fantastic in this tactic. Then my two wingers are my RBs/LBs and they are two of the best players in the team. The strikers dont always play well but since I bought Milik and Pavon in January they are playing really well, scoring nearly a goal each game.

With BMG, I am not getting the same performances. The only player that is playing really consistent is Lucas Romero as the BWM. The defenders are pretty bad, Hahn/Traore/Zivkovic as the WM's aren't playing so great (Zivkovic is actually but the rest not so much) and the strikers also aren't really contributing as much as I would like.
