4-2-2-2 "Il Devasto"

Using the parma 4-2-4 version with my Birmingham squad (11.3 patch on default database, season 3) worked well for me for 7-8 games or so, then I somehow lost to West Brom 0-3 away, probably the AI adjusted to counter the tactic, switched to my 4-5-1 then did well for 5-6 games, now that I've lost 1-2 away to Nottingham Forest and 0-3 away to Man Utd I am going back to this tactic

I do like this tactic, blitzes the opposition for 20+ shots and scores quite a few goals
 
Won (almost) everything with Zizou tactic in 11.3 patch

I do a full season with Benfica in my 6th season with the club. I looking for win the Champions League and I do!

I just didn't won the Portuguese Premier League because Porto do it very well and won me 2 times for the league.

i have tried the original devasto with man utd on 11.3 and it didnt go to well.
Would like to test another version...which is best zizou, 11.3 beta or the devasto 2 (punte palermo) ???
please help, thanks
 
i think different types of this tactic siuts different teams and players people say original one does not work but with my united team have won prem 7 seas in row 3 champs legues fa cup 4 seas in row carling cup 3 seas in row and comm sheild 7 seas inrow scoring nearly 150 goals in league every season and have broken nearly every record out there in 7 seas all on 11.3
 
Yeah ive noticed, tactics just perform differently for different people. I'm going to give all the devasto versions a test until I find one which works for me. Im using ZIZOU'S first, and it is doing really well so far so fingers crossed. Just beat Arsenal 6-1 away and my strikers are on fire!

great result there mate hope ya find right tactic. Is well weird my friend round corner was strugglin with origanal devasto tactic then switched to punte palermo version and is workin brill for him usin united thought what works for one would work for other very strange

thanks, i know which tactic to try next now if zizou doesnt hold up.
Shall try the punte palermo ! is that the devasto 2, where the 2 strikers are both "finalizers" ?

yes mate i used this tactic with madrid and tottenham had good results

I seem to be the only one who doesn't get great success with this.....

Its kinda the reason I made my 4-2-4. ;)

yeh but you didnt see the way we played - i already swapped to il devesto mid season in my last CPFC save, and I won the league. I'm trying again with a new save with the tactic going from the start to see how good. That was just the 3rd game using it, and 10-0 against anyone is good. I have lost to Bury before in pre-season!

Just won my first CH game 6-1 easily.

This tactic just plain rocks.

Gonna make a save to test the newly released tactic. I (h) you SATOROX
