since your update mate what happended to the gengen press and closing down/player higher? Did you find you were leaking more goals?

Huge thanks for sharing this tactic. I'm not using it but I used it to evaluate why mine hasn't been giving me the gengenpressing play I want to see. I had set up everything pretty similar to yours but wasn't seeing the pack of wolves mentality. I finally figured it out with the Opposition Instructions. Everything clicked when I set mine the way you set yours. My Liverpool team has been completely dominant since I added the OI. Well done, this is one of the most informative threads I have ever read in the FM universe.

I was in the middle of a match, and thought to myself I have to stop playing for a minute.
Thank you so much for this tactic switched to it from another middle of last season. Turned my season around ended up 4th with Liverpool. This season in December topped my CL group, top of the league. Just beat Everton 7-0.
It takes it a while to settle in and stop leaking stupid goals but eventually becomes the best I've ever used.

Dont wanna jump ahead on bandwagon train,but boy this tactic is insane,plugged it in my UTD save,players all over area pressing just like Liv does in real life,so far 3 games 3 win with us totally edging our opponents

This tactic was phenomenal in the beta and still is to be fair, I just wondered if there is a way around the defensive issues now there has been several updates, also the fact my advanced forward now doesn't score too often, before the full release I had Timo Werner net 37 and then 38 Bundesliga goals and in the two seasons following the full release he is barely touching 20. Is there any way to correct this? A different role.

I like the attacking style of this tactic, but I have huge problems with discipline - averaging 3 yellow cards per match. Seems that the combo of get stuck in team tactic, hard tackle personal tactic for every player and tackle harder individual instructions = lots of cards. Perhaps not so surprising. Most press conferences also feature the question of "what do you say to people who complain about the physicality of your side" with an opposition player injured.

I've had to remove the individual and team instructions to manage this issue, but this loses the basic 'gengenpress' approach. Even though I still get closing down the players don't seem to attempt as many tackles unless you tell them to get stuck in. So it's a choice between too many yellow and red cards, and making tackles. I should note that this is not limited to this tactic only, the tactics I've tried all seem to use hard tackling instructions and making this trade off.

Jesus - I can look at that all day - must have been a **** of a save to play - due to your success I will add this one to my shared twitch channel weartibus under the section called tactics we like - I will also personally take this one under my wings and present this to people - I can imagine this will be very entertaining TV if I can get simular success to yours Jeff - absolutely blown my mind and I can't still believe it - its wasn't enough just to beat those big teams you destroyed and humiliated them - crazy!!! - thanks for this post - it made my day - Cheers mate - ps Good job to the creator of pav gegenpress
