I used this tactics from the arrow until the end.

Great one.

How can you knock out all these tactics? Surely there's an art to making a really good one and not 10? One must be better than the rest if you tested them against each other in a league? It's not a criticism, it just overwhelms my OCD 🤣

I do that because i did run over idk maybe 500k games on simulation and i came up with a "Template" and from that you can work and go however you like to play the tactic.
Point about football in general not even FM, there are some shape that counter others, that's why there is not a "best" tactic, but maybe that kind of football is better.

Example if Guardiola try to play his tiki-taka or vertical taka or w/e we do wanna call it, it is applicable for every team? or do you need a certain players pool?
Klopp, he needs players ready to die over the pitch otherwise it can be easy countered and it's very unstable like it's happening this year that players looking like they are boiled

About FM now, it works same way about "counter", so maybe a shape would work better against a certain shape and worst vs another.

Just to give you out an idea, a guy from my discord asked to chatGPT :

4-4-2 Diamond - Effective against 4-2-3-1, 4-1-4-1, and 4-3-3 formations, as it can control the central midfield area with a dedicated defensive midfielder and two central midfielders. 4-2-3-1 - Effective against 4-3-3, 4-4-2, and 3-5-2 formations, as it can exploit the space between the opposition's defense and midfield with attacking midfielders and wingers. 4-3-3 - Effective against 4-4-2, 4-1-4-1, and 3-5-2 formations, as it can dominate the central midfield area with three midfielders, and stretch the opposition's defense with wingers. 4-1-4-1 - Effective against 4-4-2, 3-5-2, and 4-2-3-1 formations, as it can control the central midfield area with a dedicated defensive midfielder and four midfielders, and press high up the pitch. 5-3-2 - Effective against 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1, and 4-1-4-1 formations, as it can create a compact defense with three center-backs and two wing-backs, and break quickly on the counter-attack. 3-5-2 - Effective against 4-2-3-1, 4-3-3, and 4-4-2 formations, as it can overload the central midfield area with three central midfielders, and create width with wing-backs. 4-5-1 - Effective against 4-4-2, 4-2-3-1, and 4-1-4-1 formations, as it can control the central midfield area with five midfielders, and break quickly on the counter-attack with a lone striker.

Now you can come with me, that what you believe is the best it might be the more stable. GD and other stuff are just for the looking.
For example, on my saint career, i did played every single game on away games on cautious mentality and adapted during the game flow.

So,if you just wanna play the best you need to understand in what kind of scenario the tactic were tested first of all. Do you like the way the football is played? Etc, etc. This one from my table did very good and is very stable.

That's really interesting about the effective ways to counter the various formations. Thanks for taking the time to explain it all 👍👍

Will let it here this Tweak of this Tactic :

41221-XMAS TF Focus
The tweak is TF (and move into channels instead of AF), if you have a big cow to target TF seem really funny and viable.
Decided to make a fast run (3 season) with Brighton, because we do love oil!

So, play Away version (cautious) on away games and vs elite teams or teams that are really better then yours.
IF you are desperate to score a goal, go very attacking, you will just all-in, for now i was really lucky ant it turned on successfull attempts.

Try to use it on 60th or stuff like that, because your players will be literally drained off.

What sort of players fit best for the DW role? I see youve utilised KDB and Grealish.

Would it be better to try and use players suited for that role (ie converted wingbacks) or are creative, attacking players fine to use? Thanks!

Imho, if they have the stats are more then fine as attacking on like normal singer

So would you suggest it'd be fine to have Olise (left foot) playing as a right DW? And Duranville (right foot) playing as a left DW?

By the way I used your undervolts diamond formation with IWs in my network save and did extremely well through 23.3. I'll take some screenshots when we play again!
I would invert them, if they don't have double foot, dw act as winger

Any tips on getting Ferguson to score? has 1 in 8 using this and losses at home to Everton and Forest it isn't going too well 😕

To me him and Holjund are scoring monster. Are you training them on the position and using Cadoni/EBFM as well?

been using ebfm training and everyone trained to the roles, just hasn't clicked and the OI i feel like it drags everyone out of position

Can you give some screen shots? because it's strange that to me it looks like brazil soccer and to you angola... If you have the right players it should work good. Did you change mentality regarding the game flow?

2nd Half Season... Lost the EPL for 1 point but i did bin it for other reason i guess :D

Kids need to improve.

Need one iwbs on left at least.
