I've since gone with an AP-S in the CM slot, HB in the DM slot and FB-A with the same PI as original CWB-S roles, switched to Control (counter for unfavored away) and am on an 18-game unbeaten run with Athletic Club in 2019.

how is the AP performing in comparison to the CM?

i only concede like that or free-kicks. not much we can do there. tried tight marking with OI's in wingers but the result is more or less the same so not using OI's now

changed mine to a CM on support and so that he can "get further forward" and i believe you are right
