i was pretty chuffed about the football my team was playing. true sometimes we didnt create many chances, normally against weaker and deeper opponents, but i was pretty happy with the objectiveness and the efficiency demosntrated.

you wont have many shots with this sort of tactic, it isnt a tactic to have 10/20 attempts on target every match, however the chances you do take are dangerous. if you look at my tactical stats in the OP you'll see that i created a chance every 30 minutes, averaging 3 CCC per game. thats pretty decent in my opinion.

one of the reasons you wont have many shots is the through balls. sometimes you create massive danger but it doesnt register as a shot or CCC.

how long have you been playing the tactic for? and are your players suited for it? you need speedy and skillfull players up front and on the wings, but they need to pass the ball too.

i'm actually starting a new save with liverpool too so i'm curious to see how itr plays out. think they have the right players in most areas. disregard what i asked previsouly about your players suiting the tactic lol

Yeah I know that the ccc "count" cant be trusted, but I do watch alot of the game and its on that basis I wrote what I wrote :p

Im in mid november first season, tactic is fluid...I know these things take time, but im really happy with the results, jut not the way my team is playing...My results shouldnt be this good.

I got the players, yeah. Mane and Couthino are my key players in this tactic.

Sold Lucas, Lallana and Ilori.
Bought Berahino, Peruzzi, Charlie Taylor and Pulisic.

My team's overall ratings are pretty good, and goals and assist comes from all over the pitch, tho mainly from the wide midfielders and my shadowstrikers.

what do you think is missing? more width maybe?

for me the tactic just got better and better as it progressed, although i was tweaking along the way.

hopefully it will get better for you too, otherwise, try and tweak it a bit more to your liking.

playing friendlies with liverpool so i'll have more insight soon

I actually really like that it doesn't produce a massive amount of shots and chances. As the chances it does create are super super good and unlike most tactics here imo

Works perfectly! Now I just need to learn to train good PPM to my player and I think your tactic will be a beast.

Are you going to continue to work on it to make it better?

Im not sure tbh...would like to see the wingbacks coming forward more, and that the whole team were moved a bit longer up the pitch. But that may cause the defense to suffer more....im considering to take off the "work ball into box" instruction, and maybe tweak the wingbacks a bit.

first competitive game of the season as liverpool :D

have a pretty immense forward line-up though with firmino and alex teixeira up front, felipe anderson and payet on the wings and coutinho as AP.

experimenting with letting the AP roam from position to see if he can find more space up front
 
Great tactic

I am using Arsenal and I must say so far so good! I must admit I did completely change my whole team around as I was not convinced by arsenal's team. Some may say I am mad but I sold Koscienly, Mustafi, xhaka, monreal, gibbs, Lucas Perez, Giroud, oxlade, ospina and debuchy. Also sold Jenkinson and Gabriel but that was after the transfer period as they both start the season injured.

Centre backs - Koscienly and Mustafi weren't great. They make way too many mistakes and are too inconsistent. I bought Alessio Romagnoli as the left ball playing centre back and Kolidou koulibaly as the right stopper centre back are solid as can be. They are a perfect blend too. Massive for the team. I kept rob holding and bought Mauricio Lemos who have been decent so far.

Left inverted wingback - I sold both left backs as they didn't fit what I wanted. I bought Toni lato and Elseid Hysaj. Both fantastic so far. As Lato is younger I would say Hysaj is a little better overall but Lato is really good and probably better going forward.

Right Inverted wingback - Bellerin is the star and I needed good cover bought Diogo dalot and has been decent so far. Still very young so not expecting too much of him.

BWM - I bought Emre Can, he doesn't get the high match ratings but hes solid and I am retraining him to be a proper BWM. I don't know if he will ever be the player I want him to be but I will try. Kept coquelin and to be honest is a good player anyway. I sometimes play Eleney there too.

Box to box - I really like playing kids and improving them making them in to world class players and this year I have chosen Jeff Reine-Adelaide. I am retraining him to be my Box to box for years to come. He has some solid attributes for someone so young already. He's tall strong and can be the hub of the team almost. Jeff Reine-Adelaide biggest problem is playing time because I couldn't help buying Lucas Romero. Lucas literally has it all. All his stats stand out and is so effective getting up and down the field helping to win the ball back in defence and springing forward to help attack. His great performances mean I find It hard to budge him out the team. On top of that I still have Ramsey who I sometimes play as the DLP.

DLP - This position I always find the hardest to fill. I am currently retraining Ozil for this position as I couldn't find anyone else I wanted. I have never rated ozil on FM as he always has great stats but doesn't deliver but surprisingly he as been great driving forward as well as popping the ball over centre backs to the shadow strikers.

Left Shadow Striker - TWO WORDS... Kasper Dolberg. Hes been great so far scoring all types of goals. I find him to be a specialist making the runs in to the box at the right time to get on the end of crosses from my right back, DLP and AP. Granted its relatively early in the game but he looks great. He does need to improve his passing but you can train him on that. I also have fekir as backup but he doesn't look anything amazing.

Advanced Playmaker - As I said I don't rate ozil at all. He flatters to deceive and doesn't seem to have a high production in this position. which lead me to the best decision I have ever made on FM history.. That decision was to buy marco Asenio. He is actually amazing. On a different level. Again I sometimes play Ramsey in this position. I feel he does offer something in the role.

Right Shadow Striker - Alexis Sanchez owns this position. Hes not as great as I want him to be but I am happy with him overall. Again he probably needs to do better in the finishing/composure department but he regularly plays wonderful balls through slicing the opposition defence open. I am looking for another option so any other players you can think of would be amazing.

Overall it is a great tactic but I personally don't think it would work with the lower teams in the premiership. I feel you need players of good to high quality especially in the forward areas to get the best out of the tactic.

Recommendation of teams:
Arsenal
Liverpool
Southampton (probably)
Chelsea
Man utd (probably)
 
Am i the only one having a strange feeling playing without strikers? :D

What tactic are you using? This tactic doesn't have a BWM, inverted wingbacks or a Box to Box
