It's more about the role and how they're positioned, as long as the player is fairly comfortable in the role, e.g. I've got Gallagher and Fulton who are fairly creative players and not fully comfortable in the role but they do the job just fine. Ideally they'd have decent attributes all-round as they sit deeper covering the attacking wingbacks and protecting us from the counter, but they're always an option if we need to recycle possession and I often see them switch the play to the opposite flanks so good defending and passing stats will help, however almost anyone who is relatively comfortable in the role and has a decent star rating will do the job
