We're a big team! An England international and our 2nd best striker turns down Real Madrid to stay at Aberdeen. I didn't even offer him a new deal to stay!
iving rejects real madrid.png

Fixtures
Fix.png

We won all our games in the league & cup. The opening day could not have gone much better destroying big-spending Ranger 4-1 with 3 goals from the new strike force. Back up forward Stevie Logan showed that he's worthy of being the lead back up with a hattrick on his first start at Airdrie, back up players seen of Kilmarnock. Debuts for Billy Rae & Ramirez followed up with walkovers against Ross County & Dundee Utd before the international break.

SPL Table
SPL.png

Ourselves & Celtic make perfect starts. Hamilton with a new hotshot striker is right up there too. New boys Airdrie make a slow start and you have to worry for my former feeder team.

Champions League Draw
CL draw.png

We were no1 seed but get lumbered with PSG and Benfica, regular knockout opponents. At least we nabbed one of Benfica's stars before the season began. Krasnodar is no pushovers in the 4th spot either.

September

Fixtures
FIx.png

We drop our first points of the season but more on that later. We were in imperious form with rotation going on we still beat each team by at least 4 goals. Until we went to Parkhead

Celtic.png

If this is anything to go by then it's going to be a topper of a season. We took the lead 3 times and gave Celtic more of a game than any league game last season but have only ourselves to blame for not scoring in the 2nd half and allowing Maxi Gomez to come off the bench and secure the points were shared.

SPL Table
Spl.png

Only goals keep us ahead of Celtic after our draw but Rangers have plenty of work to do to get back in touch with us. 3 of the bottom 4 sides are our closest neighbors and the other is our former feeder team.

Champions League
CL.png

Not the greatest performance in matchday 1 but we get the 3 points after two goals were chalked off Ivings gave us a huge 3 points.

October

Marcus Sheldon is the clubs all-time scorer in the league and all competition
Record league scorer.png

Fixtures
FIx.png

Two of our largest wins of the save in the same months. Dundee gave a back up heavy team some problems but the man of the month Ivings scored in the 90th minute to save face but he scored 8 goals from the 3 games.

SPL Table
SPL.png

Celtic lost to Hibs to help us move 3 points clear. Hibs and Hamilton are still ahead of Rangers who have actually been awful the past 12 months. Plenty teams in the bottom 5 could find themselves in trouble although ST Johnstone was especially bad.

Champions League
CL.png

Two rounds of games really go our way. We dominated PSG while Benfica draws then week 3 while we thrashed the 4th seed PSG were held at Benfica leaving us 5 points clear at the top of the group.

November

Fixtures
FIx.png

Well, that could not have gone much better. We started off with a comfortable league cup semi win against Rangers to reach the final where we as usual will play Celtic. Then came a crowning achievement of this or any season, an annihilation of Rangers. Sheldon got a hattrick as we ended up putting 7 past them before it was all said and done. Airdrie got the experience of a few backup players to keep the score respectable.

SPL Table
SPL.png

Celtic return to join us at the top having played an extra game. Sorry, Rangers fans but your manager has not been sacked yet and tour still a dismal 5th. The bottom 3 are starting to get cast adrift. St Mirren who were regular top 6 sides is doing about as bad as Rangers.

Champions League
CL.png

Two more wins have secured top spot and a trip to Paris for my reserves.

December

We get our first red splodge of the season to the only team i wouldn't want to lose too.

Fixtures
FIx.png

So we lost a slogfest to Celtic. I really need to check my set up for playing this lot as in the last 12 months they have had the better of us. Them and Man Utd are our kryptonite. Elsewhere not much more to say except we won big. Never less than a 3 goal margin against anyone which makes the Celtic defeat even more depressing

SPL Table
SPL.png

And with that one game Celtic jump us to lead the league going into the January break. They have been just about as devastating as ourselves if not as clinical in front of goal. Rangers have rallied to go well clear in 3rd spot but 6 defeats in the first 20 games ended there season. Probably. Airdrie & St Johnstone cast adrift at the bottom. Just shows how bad St Johnstone is that a team with no top-flight experience can come up and be ahead of them, all be it having played 2 games more.

Champions League
CL Group.png

Better news from the continent. Both Us and PSG played weaker teams ours played better and we get a perfect 6/6

Last 16 Draw

CL Last 16.png

All 3 Scottish teams make the last 16 for the first time. All 3 will probably be out with some nasty draws.

January

Fixtures
FIx.png

We make a stinking return to action. A weaker side lined up against Dundee Utd but we still had to fight back from 3-0 down. Then the epitome of disaster a defeat at Rangers a team we beat 4-2 and 7-0 two months ago. More encouraging thrashing of Airdrie & Dundee Utd.

SPL Table
SPL.png

Amazingly Celtic lost on the same day but went 6 points clear after they won a further game to go clear.

Out
Oscar Mallardo
was supposed to leave in the summer but i kept him in case Curry bombed in goals. He has not but with his value not rising i sold him now while I could. Julio Ramirez was bought to be sold and after 7 appearance, 2 goals and a league cup win he's away for £17.5m after being bought for £950k 6 months ago. Why can it not always be this easy? Logan was my 3rd striker and having a great season but Samuel was not getting any action on his loan so i brought him back. They effectively swap roles.

SPL Transfer

Rangers sell their top winger with no replacement joining. Celtic is the only one of us to make a signing that will make a difference in the title race.

World Transfers 2020
WOrld transfers 1.png

Anyone thinking about buying Fati at the start. Here's your proof. Greenwood & Bellinham make big money moves and just above Piano is Fraser Sharpe a Scottish forward from Man City we tried to buy years ago but City wouldn't take less than £32m which 8 years ago was a deal killer. One final black mark from the most expensive transfers in 2029 is a face from the past is right after Pisano, Julian Charles who i sold for £21m two summers ago goes to Spurs for £70m. A miss of £90m!

February

Fixtures
fix.png

Our shady January form was tossed down the toilet with a month of rousing victories. The only game away from Parkhead where we were in any danger was when i put out a back up 11 at Dundee Utd who could have beaten us if they kept everyone on the pitch. So onto Celtic. They needed to win to go back on top and had the lead from Salgado but before half time Sheldon had us back on level terms. The second half saw a better performance from my boys after Celtic dominated the first half, we in control of the second half and got a deserved winner from Sheldon again of course finally got us over the hump at Parkhead our first League win over Celtic in 4 games.

SPL Table
SPL.png

Aberdeen and Celtic are level on games played but Celtic dropped a point at Tannadice before playing us and the 5 dropped points set Aberdeen up for 5 point lead at the top. Quietly Rangers have started to close the gap on the top two. 13 points back so there not totally out of it.

Champions League Last 16 1st Leg
Tottenham 0-3 Aberdeen
CL.png

What a start to the knockout phase! Samardzic nodded us into the lead from our first attack of the game. Within 10 minutes both teams had penalty shouts Spurs had there's turned down and the Dons got there's which Correa tucked away. In the second half, i had already gone very counter-attacking and Arce put the game and possibly the tie beyond the English team.

March

Fixtures

We were on fire winning our first 4 games by at least 5 goals. then we had a trip to Dundee and for some reason, we did fail to score against a non-Old Firm team for the first time in almost 3 years.

SPL Table
SPL.png

The split is almost here and we have a 10 point lead, 11 if you look at our ridiculous goal difference. Rangers are right on Celtic's tails but Celtic have no European distractions. Lots still to play for. Airdrie & St Johnstone had good runs and Dundee Utd are not quite safe based on the bottom 2s form

Champions League Last 16
Aberdeen 1-1 Tottenham
Aberdeen win 4-1 on AGG
CL Match.png

We managed to put in 7 players that wouldn't make my best 11 and still got a result. Tottenham surprised me with how poor they were.

Rangers pull off one of the biggest shocks of the save thumping Man Utd twice. Celtic had less of a good time losing both games to PSG 1-0. The other winners were all the group winners.

Quarter-Final Draw
Chelsea vs Aberdeen
CL QF.png

After 10 years the makeup of each side is unrecognizable from the start but Chelsea were Premier League favorites and they top the table so i guess there the best English side.

April

After half a dozen attempts we are finally taken over. Board are happy to leave me to get on with my job.

Fixtures
Fix.png

Hibs got a chance against our backups but we still won easily. Back to back games with Rangers domestically at least seen the two sides of the Aberdeen side. In the cup we won simply dominating Rangers to reach the cup final in the more important game. Not that we wanted to lose in the league especially in the manner that we did at Kingsford! Trilles 4th red card in less than a year will see the end of his hopes of being a long term prospect for the side.

SPL Table
SPL.png

We're the last team left in Europe but we do have a 7 point lead with 4 games to go. Rangers match is out of the way so even with added distractions it's ours to lose.

Doesn't seem like you need to much to win young player of the month! 1 games got it for Candia
YOung player of the month 1 game.png

Champions League Quarter-Finals

1st Leg
Chelsea 0-2 Aberdeen
CL QF 1.png

We got the better of the best English side going to put ourselves in a great spot to get back to the Quarter Finals

2nd Leg
Aberdeen 2-0 Chelsea
Aberdeen win 4-0 on Agg
CL QF 2nd leg.png

A big cushion from the first leg gave us the chance to put out my preferred counter-attacking side which not to my surprise helped us to win the 2nd leg even easier than the 1st leg.

Rangers held Madrid to a 0-0 draw at Ibrox but could not keep touch with them in Spain which is where we're going in the Semi-Finals. Man City thrashed Arsenal in an all English game and in an all-French affair PSG thrashed Monaco
CL QF resultes.png

May

Fixtures
Fixture.png

We played our two games against 5th and 6th place and i can't fault my team. As they do everything possible to throw away an 11 point lead and the league title by being **** awful The lost to Rangers was followed up bu losing at home to Ross County for 2 defeats in a row. I;m not even looking to see how long it is since that happened.

SPL Run-in

Match 36
Hamilton 2-2 Aberdeen
match 36.png

This one was even more disgusting than the rest! We one hand on the title and into stoppage time then it happened. Hamilton equalized. Meanwhile Celtic beat Rangers comfortably

Match 37
Aberdeen 1-1 Celtic

match 37.png

At Hamilton it was a late goal against us that cost us the title win, well it all flipped 3 days later with emergency sub Nedkov, who was only on due to injury nodded home the title-winning goal. The rest of the game is a footnote but it was not pretty. We deserved to win but as usual, we were behind as recent form in general dictates never mind our dreadful record against Celtic. The task was made seemingly impossible when Kevin Graca made a potentially career-altering decision and got sent off to put the title challenge in the bin until fate finally smiled on us!

Match 38
Hibs 0-3 Aberdeen

match 38.png

So i guess it just needed the backup players to win games.

Champions League Semi-Finals
1st Leg
Real Madrid 2-5 Aberdeen
CL SF1.png

The greatest side in Champions League history must be delighted they don't have to play Aberdeen on a regular occasion as we once again thumped the Spanish giants. Sheldon did exactly what Ceyan did in 2027 scoring 4 times in one game. Real Madrid had the lead early on which is stunning looking back and a second Barasi goal looked to have given them a glimpse of hope for the 2nd leg but Correa gave us a 5th away goal.

2nd Leg
Aberdeen 2-0 Real Madrid
Aberdeen win 7-2 on Agg
CL SF2.png

If you though Real were going to come storming back then you're very mistaken! All levels at half time we took the lead from the corner. Not content with thrashing Real Madrid last week Sheldon punched in yet another goal to secure our spot in the final!

It was going to be an oil rich rival and it will be Man City. Let's do this for your Gaffer lads!
CL SF other game.png

Scottish Cup Final 2030

Aberdeen 4-3 Celtic
SCO CUP FINAL.png

What a game and what a way to secure our 4th treble 7 years. We did so by coming from behind 3 times in our most complete performance against our toughest rivals since the League Cup final. The strikers Sheldon and Ivings kept bringing us back into the game but it was the winger who has set a record for assist in a season Alex Daza who scored the winning goal. We get a week's rest before trying for our first clean sweet and adding the Champions League title.

Champions League Final 2029/30
Man City 0-1 Aberdeen
CL FINAL.png

One of the least dramatic finals but one we totally dominated. We took an early lead halfway through the first half with Ivings, who else! After that, i panicked and put in a defensive set up and for once our less reliable backline came up strong and at the other end we couldn't score the 2nd goal but we counter-attacked them to death which stopped them from putting us in much danger. Even Hamilton regularly managed more than 3 shots on target!

Season 11 Review

Aberdeen Squad
squad 1 to cut.png

squad 2 to cut.png

Neither Keeper stood out. I'm annoyed Joe Curry's value has not risen but Robbie Wallace is good enough to be our back up. Our only long term prospect is 17 and nowhere near ready for the no1 job but with his on the verge, I'd consider going out and spending tens of millions on a player for 2-3 seasons.
Both wing-backs on the right are world-class and like the last 3 summers, it's going to be tough to keep both of them. If they both stay then it will be the last summer with there very reasonable contracts both set to expire in 24 months and youngster Billy Rae looking for more 1st team action. Amada Junior on the left is not up to there standard but he's still a class act and exactly what i needed on the left-wing. Steven Ritchie is a decent backup but with the value rising i think he could be moved on.
Zlatan Samardzic has stepped up as an utter rock. Not bad for the 4th string of our golden generation of DCs Nedkov & Musson are quite similar in the battle to be no2. A great offer for either will settle that debate. We have Paleso, Dimitrov & McCunnie coming back from loans. 2 of them should make the squad. McCunnie is a lock.
The middle of the park is in its best state ever. Cimirotic & Correa are both top drawer players while teenager Bullen and Giacinti are a level below the starters but are good enough to step in at any time. The depth is equally impressive with Kanerva, youngsters Diaz & Vukasinovic have lots to do to break into the current 4 squad players.
Our Left-wing has already suffered a loss with Dutari set to move to Barcelona with the old make me a ridiculous offer and I'll sell trick. Arce will as always be starting next season with Lao and Welsh looking to pick up the back up role. One will stay one with be loaned. The right-back up is an equally fluid situation. Daza is starting without question. He averaged a goal or assist in every game. Trilles got the chance to be the backup and was not disappointing on the ball abut his red card ratio is the worst I've ever had. There is not much between him and loaned out Franciso Javier who as i write this will get his chance next season.
Our starting front two combined for 104 goals. The others did practically nothing but the chances for Logan, Candia & Samuel were limited but all are short of the English strikers.

However, all my players deserve a pat on the back after filling the team of the year. The first time i can remember seeing this. Particularly amazing considering Celtic finished as close as the league did.
spl team of the year. all dons.png

Champions League team is not 100% dons but 9/11 is not bad huh!
CL dream team.png

My Players of the Year Top 3

1st - Richard Ivings
player 1 IVings.png

The English striker took his first chance at starting by having the greatest season any player of mine has ever had. A back up at best since joining from Chelsea for £230k!!! a total of 14 MOTM's and 55 goals and my first ever +8 rating for the season will lead to an interesting market in the summer. But he is not for sale at any price, under £200m.

His greatest personal achievement may be breaking Larsson's goals in a season's record.
ivings spl goals record.png

2nd - Alexander Daza
player 2 Daza.png

While Ivings was having the greatest striker season of all time we had Daza on the right wing was providing the assists that gave him an equally ridiculous 7,92 average rating for a winger that scored only 11 goals!

3rd - Marcus Sheldon
player 3 sheldon.png

Almost a footnote to Ivings record scoring season the great Sheldon hit 49 goals himself most often scoring in the big games.

4th - Hernan Arce
player 4 Arce.png

I know its a top 3 but Arce was right there scoring a 7,79 good enough to be the best in virtually every previous season it would not be fair to keep him from this list.

SPL Final Table
SPL final.png

If you just look at Aberdeen it looks like except for a few defeats at the end the record GD 112, goals scored 143 would suggest it was an easy title win. Step back and you see both halves of the old firm are within 7 points of or title-winning team both coming on very strong at the end. Worrying/exciting for 2030/31. Hibs are the best of the rest with Hamilton there regular top 6 teams. Ross County were the weakest side in this half of the split. The bottom half has underachievers like Dundee Utd & Hearts. failing teams St Mirren & Dundee and the worst of the lost St Johnstone only surviving due to the gap between the SPL and Championship teams. Maybe Kilmarnock who has only been out of the league for 2 years might change that.

Play-Off
St Johnstone 5-1 Falkirk
SPL playoff.png

St Johnstone survive again

Europa League
Juventus 1-3 Inter
EUropa.png

Minimal British interest in the Europa League with an Italian domination of the knockout stages and the final where we were treated to an Italia Derby which was won by Inter.

Europa League 2
Marseille 0-1 Toulouse AET
EUrop2.png

Like the above trophy it was dominated by a nation, France this time and here's a blast from the past. The winners Toulouse are managed by former real-life Dons defender Antoine Kombouare. The only man to have a shot clear the Richard Donald Stand.

Just in case that doesn't sound humiliating enough. Here is the stand compared to a Micra.

Following this major success I can't promise the updates will flow as fast as they have for the next few weeks. Due to COVID19 I'm having to work more than ever and on top of that, I'm making a comeback in F1 2018 now that I'm armed with a steering wheel kit that will be my main game for now. And the final nail in the coffin is my wife's been inspired to redecorate the house during this crisis and reminded me I have a kitchen and playhouse to build before there birthday in 2 weeks. Not a chance In **** this is ending. I just can't see me getting much time at the game for the next few weeks.

Chelsea striker Ricard Neves won the world cup for Portugal while Ruben Neves won Man of the match as one of 11 real players still in the game. Two former Dons Leonardo Vale & Joaquim Silva started in the final. France has 9 real life players, none called Mbappe who missed the competition with injury but our Right-back Kevin Graca did start.
England & N Ireland reach the Quarter Finals. Scotland out at the last 16.

I forgot to look for jobs not that anything stood out.

Out
Barcelona decides if they can't beat us they'll buy us! The big sale was Cimirotic who was my best MC but with an offer over £103m there was no way i was turning that down with the final straw being his next contract likely to cost at least £250k. Albano Dutari was sold in January but i kept him for the second half of the season with so much on the line. £70m for a back up is not to be sniffed at and with Arca renewing till at least 2035 i have plenty of time to think about the future. The only other major transfer our was winger Juan Trilles who was decent enough but loved getting sent off which is no use to anyone. 4 other youngsters were never going to break through so they were let go along with the usual ton of loan players.

Aberdeen had one of there best performances against a European power away from home that i can remember although it could have all been for nothing with us coming from behind twice to force penalties where we went a perfect 4/4 while Inter missed two on there way to defeat

It’s crazy the amount of profit you are making each transfer window. Would love to be able to achieve just some of this haha.

It’s crazy the amount of profit you are making each transfer window. Would love to be able to achieve just some of this haha.

Its because 100% of my transfer budget will go on players under 19 or are free. and under 28 until we got to the level where we could spend a huge amount on a superstar. As soon as possible i always have 5-10 players over the 25 so we can loan out players for a fee that has 1st team potential. One season i brought in almost £10m from players being on loan. Selling in phases to keep some cohesion with the squad so from my best 11 i really try to sell no more than 2 in one summer now that we're a top side.

August

Fixtures
Fix.png

A respectable defensive performance away from a perfect start. Our best 11 easily saw off Dundee Utd & St Mirren and back up and u19 filled teams saw of Ross County in the League and cup although both were close games that relied on our starting striker Ivings to score the winning goals in both games. August ended with a trip to Ibrox and after leading 3-1 after 25 minutes it was a shambolic breakdown of our new center back pairing that saw Rangers actually take a 4-3 lead with 20 minutes to go. Thankfully i can type Ivings name again as he scored the goal that rescued a point that should have been wrapped up far earlier.

SPL Table
SPL.png

Aberdeen and Celtic are tied at the top with Celtic drawing on day 1 at home to St Johnstone. 4 teams yet to win and its all very close as you would expect after 4 games i guess. 33-year-old Harry Wilson's explosive start accounts for 1/4 of the goals he had scored in his 3 seasons at Parkhead up till now.

Champions League Draw
CL.png

The draw didn't look good till i dived into the team's recent history. Juventus have not won a knockout game since 2024. Valencia has made the last 16 once in the last 4 attempts and like every FM save in history has regressed massively.

Aberdeen Transfers

loan 2.png
loan 3.png
loan 4.png

In 4 youngsters are signed up including a wunderkind for the right-wing since Daza is refusing to take less than £300k a week for a new deal.

One first-team player is sold and its starting CB Marcelo Musson. One spot we were overloaded with and i was willing to move on one of them not called Samardzic and despite not getting usual £50m i'll settle for almost £30m profit.

We also loaned out fringe players Samuel & Lao

SPL Transfers
SPL Tranfers 1.png

Chelsea like Barca decided the SPL players are who they need to become a force in Europe again. Ranger lose all there stand out players from last season and im not sure Rhian Brewster alone will replace them despite the result against us its a light replacement for the £121m of sales they made. Celtic sign a big name in Guedes and some handy loan players in Luka Jovic & Juan Miranda.

Wow, just read trough the whole story today. What you have done is so impressive, started with Aberdeen myself now. Is it maybe possible to ask if you can upload the tactic you are using? playing a 4-4-2 myself but are struggling to get my wide sidemidfielders to work.. Conceding a lot away and 7/7 wins at home.

There's no such thing as a set tactic for all anymore but here's my base for straightforward matches. Each player's position and role are set to the players most comfortable and i usually always have a box to box if we play narrow but so much changes game to game. I usually try and go after there main passer with the closest player in the big games.
