Great results with a hattrick from Ivings against Hearts and thrashing Killie and Queen of the South in the cup. A strange result from Dundee. Draw is not what I'm referring too but no goals!

SPL Table
SPL.png

It's all tied at the top with Hamilton right on our tails led by our former striker Joe Terrell

Champions League
CL.png

We make a great start but it appears Shakhtar will be generous to everyone's goal difference.

October

Fixtures
FIX.png

Well, that's a disaster of a month that could have been even worse. A miserable night in Perth was followed by an even more despicable display in the first half against Hamilton who led 2-0 at half time. A rarely used hairdryer brought around a stunning comeback to win out 4-2. Our offensive issues returned with Celtic in town in what was a game we could not afford to lose but we did despite playing well we have been very dodgy in front of goal all of a sudden. The win against Hibs was a small reward for a disgusting month.

SPL Table
spl.png

As miserable as the last 5 games have been were only 5 points off Celtic so all is not lost. We're closer to Rangers and the days of resting players in the league is over. Saddle up boys you'll be playing plenty of games before the season is over.

Champions League
CL.png

We put in a stinker of a performance in Valencia but thankfully looked like our old selves against Juventus to cause a 3-way tie at the top. We might have to win the Europa League at this rate.

November

Fixtures
Fix.png

Ahh a far more conventional month. A straightforward win against Hibs started it all off with wins at Dundee Utd & St Mirren with a rare Daza hattrick. Logan became our only striker to hit 3 in the league against Ross County

SPL Table
SPL.png

Rangers defeat to Hearts and Dundee take them out of the title picture for now while St Johnstone once again got a point of Celtic to let us move to be only 3 points behind. The head to heads will be critical this year seems.

Barry Robson leaves us again. Hopefully, its the last time and things work out for him back in the highlands.

managers.png

He is one of three new managers going into December. El Maestro leaving Hibs is my favorite as he was not playing my loaned players. Hopefully the new coach gives them game time before the end of January so i can redeploy them if need be.

Champions League
CL.png

Juventus eliminate themselves by getting demolished by the Dons in Turin before drawing in Valencia. It's not impossible for them to get through since they should be locked into 3 points against Shaktar but we'll be playing a full team of backups so Valencia should have an open goal for 2nd spot.

December

Fixtures
fix.png

Great to get back to back wins over Rangers in the League and Cup before we drop 4 big wins. It was miserably ended with a defeat at Parkhead with Celtic winning the game in stoppage time.

SPL Table
SPL.png

Celtic may have beaten us but it was our month since they lost back to back games with Hibs & Rangers gives the blue half of Glasgow a sniff at a title challenge. Hearts, Hibs & Kilmarnock sack managers to end the year.

Champions League
CL Group.png

We beat Valencia with a weekend team

Last 16 Draw
Benfica vs Aberdeen
CL Draw.png

We get the best draw this year after some dodgy draws.

League Cup Final 2030
Aberdeen 4-2 Rangers AET
LEague cup final.png

The Dons twice came from behind to force extra time. Rangers had long since found themselves down to 10 men and by the extra time they were shattered while we were able to push the tempo up and extra time was a doddle.

January

Fixtures
fix.png

The youth team makes a solid return beating Stirling before the first team return to drop a stinker at home to Hibs, a lot of transfer offers and talk going on around here so it's almost forgivable. We rallied to beat Dundee Utd & Ross County with a huge game with Rangers starting February

SPL Table
SPL.png

Celtic also drew with Hibs so that would explain my relative good humor towards dropping points. Rangers now 20 points off top spot are probably out but our game is must-win for them. Ross County is not looking smart however none of the bottom 4 are.

Aberdeen Transfer Window
ABZ transfers.png

In

We sign 3 midfielders, not that we have enough already. Sanou & Traore were out of contract in the summer but i paid to get them in now in the hope that we can turn around a profit next summer while Luiz Dias was a fine pick up from the end of the free agency.

In 2.png
in 3.png

Out
Two massive sales from our best starting 11. Rodolfo Correa was supposed to be a move for the summer but it forgot to change it during our negotiation. Now after Cimirotic Barcelona have both of my starting MCs from last season at a cost of almost £200m. Kevin Graca is probably the best of my 3 DRs but was giving me the most problems with a new deal and was hardly over 7.00 when he was dropped for poor performance. The usual £50m offer came in and that was that. Not the last movements we'll see on DRs. 5 players get loaned out with little first-team football awaiting them.

SPL Transfers
SPL Transfers.png

Rangers get weaker Celtic get stronger, aside from selling there best midfielder.

World Transfers 2030
world transfers.png

Barcelona loves Aberdeen players.

February

Fixtures
FIx.png

A perfect domestic run of 7 wins starting with the best way possible by ending Rangers faint title hopes with a crushing 3-0 win at Ibrox. WE beat Hearts 6-0 twice and had some solid wins against Kilmarnock, St Mirren and Dundee in close games with Dundee putting up less of a fight against us in the cup.

SPL Table
spl.png

We finally get to play our game in hand to return to top spot in the league on goal difference. Hamilton put Rangers in danger for 3rd place, Ross County seems rooted to the bottom with Hearts or Dundee Utd look like getting the playoff spot.

Champions League last 16 1st Leg
Benfica 4-3 Aberdeen
CL.png

We led 3-1 as the game entered the 92nd minute. Somehow in the next 4 minutes, AL Zahrani scored 3 goals to turn the tie on its head for the 2nd leg

March

Fixtures
fix.png

We've gone 3 months unbeaten in Scotland. It started with a draw at Parkhead where we were the better team but in the end its not a disaster. St Johnstone and Hamilton were swept aside between a champions league game. We then had a massive league game with Celtic to decided who was going to be top going into the break and it was all decided in the 10th minute by Marcus Sheldon who made top spot our own and the cherry on the cake was the Scottish Cup replay whereas you'll see from the line ups we were missing 8 starting players away on international duty. But we still won somehow.

SPL Table
SPL.png

As i just said we go 3 points clear with the win over Celtic and have a strong lead in the goal difference. Ivings is getting pushed for the golden boot.

Champions League Last 16 1st Leg
Aberdeen 4-4 Benfica
Benfica win 8-7 on AGG
CL.png

Thats got to be one of the most entertaining 2 legged tie we've ever had. Once again it was late goals that ended our title defense at the last 16 for the first time in 6 years.

April

Fixtures
fix.png

A doubleheader with Hibs put us further clear in goal difference and into the Scottish Cup Final. Dundee was far tougher than the result looks. We were behind for almost the whole game but a late rally in the last half our protected our lead at the top. The biggest obstacle of the month was playing Rangers but we rolled over them with Ivings strengthing his grip on the golden ball.

SPL Table
spl.png

3 points in it with 3 games to play. Celtic need to beat us and have us drop points to Hamilton or Kilmarnock. It's totally in our hands but its enough to warrant a title run in post.

Unlucky with the loss against Benfica, that must of been frustrating, truly got FM'ed, I know the feeling, so agonising!

May - SPL Run In

Match 36
Aberdeen 7-1 Hamilton
match 36.png

It's all over. Forget the demolition job that moved us 29 goals clear which is what Celtic needs to overcome in the last 2 games.

Match 37
Celtic 1-1 Aberdeen
match 37.png

The title is in the bag thanks to our back up players keeping the back door shut.

Match 38
Kilmarnock 1-2 Aberdeen
match 38.png

Ivings played to secure the golden boot. He also secured the 3 points.

Season 12 Review

Aberdeen Squad
Squad 1.png
squad 2.png

The goalkeeper situation is still a hot mess. I could never get Curray value
up and eventually settled for £2.5m to move him on. Wasted 2 seasons and possibly another shot at the Champions League. Niels Jonsson still doesn't look quite ready to be a no1 and Wallace will not be more than my no2. I have two keepers on loan but i just can't see any of keeper except Jonsson ever being a no1 so a clearout and a big-money new no1 could be top of my hit list this summer.
Wing backs are well set up. On the left, we have a clear starter in Amadu Junior, back up in Cuello and a future star in Sergi Castillo. On the Right Guruzeta starts, Vlek is a pure backup. Billy Rae is the youngster but thanks to his Scottish status he could jump them all while Junior on the left is probably safe as can be.
Center Backs Paleso & Samardzic are the lockdown starters with neither McCunnie & Nedkov doing nothing to suggest they could start in there place and Scott McKenna is almost certain to be moved on upon his request.
Midfield is not as great as it was 12 months ago. Giancinti & Duits are both downgrades but played just as well as the £100m players we let go which is pleasing. Bullen my no3 and we have lots of prospects in squad & on loan for the final spot in the middle.
Left wing Scott Welsh returned from a horror show on loan at Hibs to be our star player in the second half of the season. Arce is still one of my best players but missed 3/4 of the season with two major injuries. I hope he can recover to his superstar self next season.
Right wing is still Daza's show after a stand out season. Backing him up will be a nightmare u18 Carlos Martinez looked like a superstar last summer when i bought him and was top of a very strong depth chart. Not sure if he'll start next season but he will for suer play more than 4 games.
The three-headed monster upfront of Ivings, Sheldon and Logan will remain with a few years left on there deal. We need a 4th striker it probably won't be anyone on that list for one reason or another.

My Players of the Year Top 3

1st - Alexander Daza

Player 1.png

Ahh! just noticed he's got 1 year left on his deal. After asking for £300k last time we negotiated. I really hope this is not a eulogy as i break down another rediculous season of making changes for the front two and added 16 goals to his stats. Hopefully, at the other side of the summer, i can tell you he's still with us, Probably on 10 times the wages.

2nd - Richard Ivings
Player 2.png

Ivings led the frontline again but there is no way i can keep him as my no1 player with a .5 drop off from last season. Still cleared 50 goals for the season.

3rd - Marcus Sheldon
Player 3.png

England's new record goalscorer is far better in the Champions League than the SPL. Looking back its been a trend for years. His goal scoring does not have never been his strongest point but constructive play for the team and that will be rewarded with the captain's armband next summer.

SPL Final Table
SPL FInal.png

We just got over the line with a great second half of the season after Celtic were ahead for the majority of the season. Rangers ended up being clearly the 3rd best team in the country but have money to spend. The rest of the top 6 were all fighting with themselves for 4th with all safely in European football. At the bottom Hearts almost threw themselves down after an abysmal end to the season and Ross County getting more points in the last 8 games as the previous 30.

Play-Off
Hearts 6-4 Airdrie
SPL Plyoff.png

They needed a huge win with 3 goals in extra time and all that was after the most ridiculous stoppage time wherein the 94th minute it seemed Hearts had secured their survival only for Spence in the 96th minute of normal time to force extra time.

Champions League
Arsenal; 3-3 Milan
Arsenal win 5-3 on Pens
CL final.png

Hang in there Gooners. You're a decade away from better times.

Europa League
Atletico Madrid 1-0 Valencia

Europa League 2
Wolves 1-0 PSV

Season Preview 13
Pre Season 2031/32

We move to our 3rd and hopefully final stadium in the save
new stadum 1.png

new stadum 2.png

As we move to a new stadium its time for a new outlook. I have slowly tried to move the team into a more set team with fewer changes to my best 25. I aim to make even fewer changes to my best 11 with my front 4 being set for the past 3rd season in a row.

Transfers
ABZ Transfers.png

I finally give up on trying to develop a keeper and buy the best keeper at a reasonable price.

In
Mattia Bianconi - GK
In GK Bianconi.png

He's picked up 3 caps at 22 years old with Italy's no1 usually one of the best keepers in the game.

Two youngsters prop us the u18 squad with Neto on a free and Nuno Costa for future sales.
youth 1.png
youth 2.png

Out
We haul in over £250m but the most valuable players i lost were 4th CB Anatoli Nedkov & 4th Striker Maxi Casas. The rest were all backup or loan players which helps us thin out our massive squad.

Squad
squad.png

Not quite a full squad of 4*+ starting 11 with only a DR & DC short.

Youth Squad
squad youth.png

Potential stars are still around to back up the 25.

August

Fixtures
Fix.png

We kick off with 5 wins from 5 in the league beating Rangers & Celtic along the way. Outside the old firm, we thrashed Hibs in the league & cup as well as Heats & Dundee. As for the old firm games we fell behind in both games before Welsh & Sheldon turned it around against Celtic and a Logan double at Ibrox.

SPL Table
SPL.png

Rangers were perfect outside the game with us. Ivings missed the first month of the season with injury and Sheldon really stepped up making his best start to a season.

Champions League Draw
CL.png

We got our best Cl Draw in a long time with all 4 sides being in the bottom half of the 8 sides in each seed. Milan are decent but this should be a doddle.

Transfer Window
Nothing for Aberdeen

SPL Transfers
SPL transfers.png

Even with fileting out our top 6 transfers we still dominate the summers action

Surely your Italian keeper is the goalie version of a certain Spanish attacking midfielder. Quite possibly the best keeper I have seen and to think he has 8 or so more years to develop further!!!!!!!

Find it hilarious that a top 6 finish gets you into Europe or was that due to cup finalists?

Milan aint doing it for me (despite being unbeaten) so I think I may finally do my Aberdeen save - feel free to jump to Bilbao lol (although not been into them so much this year).

Anywho - MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Nah our coefficients is way up. Were ranked 6th so thats 5 and yeah the cup for 6th.

Keeper cant match Aitor due to being in his 20s not 16.

Three domestic wins although these were much closer than August. Knocking Rangers out of the league cup earned us a game with Celtic in the final. In the league, St Johnstone was only beaten by an injury-time winner from Ivings and St Mirren put up far less of a fight going 3-0 down before a consolation.

SPL Table
SPL.png

Rangers stay right on my tail with Hibs starting stronger than Celtic. Falkirk at the other end is still pointless and history is not kind to teams starting with 7 straight defeats.

Champions League
CL.png

Aberdeen and Milan will battle for the top spot in the back to back games after we both win our opening games.

October

Fixtures
fix.png

4 more wins with 3 clean sheets against mostly bottom half teams

SPL Table
spl.png

Rangers are the only side still in touch. Falkirk finally gets some points on the board.

Champions League
CL.png

Only one part of the doubleheader was a heartbreaker we led twice even as far of the 90th minute and with the kitchen sink being thrown by Milan with Frank Kessie scoring his 5th goal in 2 games to secure a huge point.

Fixtures

I couldn't have started any better and end any worse. We thrashed Celtic in the league and cup. After the international break, we were sloppy against Dundee before Rangers ended our perfect start to the season in what was our best performance of the season. 15 shots on target but by some act of god none of them went in.

SPL Table
SPL.png

Rangers kept the league alive with that win and the gaps only 6 behind.

Champions League
CL.png

We again let a lead slip in Milan and need to win our last game to keep our goals advantage over Milan.
