Thanks for the support lads

Dear diary,
Sorry about not writing again but since Wednesday I've been depressed. We lost 2-1 to real lesser opposition in Plymouth which forced us out of the league cup. No excuses, we were shocking and deserved to be eliminated. Keith (Fahey) got us a 90th minute consolation but the result was already set in stone. Things did brighten up today though, we travelled up to Preston in what we thought would be a tough game. It was a long trip up north and the team coach was in a very solemn mood following our awful midweek performance. The most entertaining thing occuring was the banter between Juanma and Nicky Eaden, they were making subtle snipes at eachother 'Whining ******' and '******* ****' were surpisingly the mildest phrases thrown. Me Cam and Johnno couldn't help laughing at their stupidity. Juanma was subsequently kept on the bench and his first team counterpart Seb Larsson showed us why he is just that! Didy grabbed the first goal before Seba delivered in a beauty of a cross for Roger to head home. Seb got our
third and final goal which in my opinion should have made him man of the match but the award was given to Johnno. A 3-0 victory was the least we deserved after dominating them all over the park!

Dear diary,
*Groan* Another expectant early sky sports news lookout and another disappointing omission
from the Chile squad. I am starting to become frustrated as there are players that I am performing for my club better than them yet they are picked ahead of me. I know as my great grandfather keeps telling me I am still young and that he was patient until he got his chance. I
think that unlike a few people say Alex Bruce and Darren Ferguson I haven't been helped with
my relation. It has brought the selectors to thinking that they will be expecting too much of me but I want that, I want to prove I am as good as my great grandfather but until I get my chance I cannot do it. I had a free day that the squad had off training. As usual when there was no
training there was fun! At around 8AM I got a phonecall from Jack. He wanted to know if I could
make it to somewhere... Next thing I remembered I was walking past the turnstiles and onto what is called towers street, it was my first ever visit to Alton Towers and as you could probably guess I was insanely excited. I forgot to mention that I had also brought along Connie, Cam and Johnno. Jack knows CJ from the England youth system but he isn't really familliar with Roger. As I expected they got on like a house on fire, Jack still has a recording on his phone of 'He's eighteen years old from Chile, Sanchez, Sanchez, he'll get the ball, he'll score a goal, Sanchez, Sanchez, we bought the lad from skilled Brazil and it's the net he loves to feel Alfonso Sanchez
Arsenal's number nine!' Although I am now nineteen and I play for Birmingham it is still a great song. At around 7PM we were back home, Connie looked
tired so we were in bed by 10. Not the most interesting night but nothing is compared to the next one....

Dear diary,
I arrived home from training today to be greeted with something that I hadn't been expecting! I walked into the kitchen when Connie said*
'Alf, I've gotta tell you something'
'What is it babe?'
'Well... I think I'm pregnant!'
My body went into shock mode, how could this happen?! Well, I know how it happens but how come now?! I managed a...
'Ok, that's a surprise'
'Is it a good surprise?'
As those words came out of her mouth it hit me, this is god's will and that this would be the right thing to do...
'Connie?'
'Yes?'
'Will you marry me?'
Her eyes lit up with joy as she screamed...
'Yes! Of course I will'
I swung her round in a tight embrace before she whispered...
'Ive got to tell everyone!'
and with a sexy smile left the room towards where she keeps her iPhone. I know that this was recklessly impulsive but I also know that as a Christian it was the right thing to do. I was overjoyed and knowing that I also have a child on the way is something special! Connie came rushing back into the room...
'Let's get married tomorrow!'
'Of course but how can we!?'
'I have contacts and with the publicity we could get I think it's possible'
We got straight to work, calling everyone to help. Cesc was the first person to call me in congratulation. I hadn't spoke to him for a while but he sounds like he's holding up well! A few hours later it was set, we had the ring, the venue, the bridesmaids, the best man (Cesc) and everything else Connie wanted. Tomorrow will be the greatest day of my life, it would be the day that everybody we know will finally say 'yes, they're perfect for eachother'
Write to you on my first night,
Alfonso Sanchez
