Thought it would be a good idea to throw in a twist, hopefully you're not too disheartened as a Newcastle fan! Just helps to keep the story fresh, my lack of silverware was frustrating!

Ha! Youre telling me, Atleast I have seen NUFC in a cup final reading this! Hopefully have a good run in the CL and maybes even a Domestic cup! Seems like youo have a strong enough squad at your ready!

Defence is a little weak but our attacking players are brilliant, sensing a Liverpool-esque season (From last year), will definitely keep an eye on Newcastle as well!

Manchester United Triumph Again

A poor performance against Manchester United saw us slip to our first league defeat of the season, we had a lot of possession but failed to make use of it in the final third. Unite don the other hand were sharp, clinical and ruthless in their attack. Former Barcelona prodigy Munir bagging a hat-trick as Manchester United cruised to a 4-1 victory, thankfully Jetro Willems saved us the embarrassment of being white washed.

Spanish youngster Munir El Haddadi inspired Manchester United to a home victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

Eagles Brushed Aside

A much better performance against Crystal Palace saw us return to winning ways, we had total control of the game and restricted Palace to only 2 shots on target, Zivkovic on the score-sheet once again along with Wilfried Zaha who scored a fantastic Ben-Arfa-esque goal to double our lead before Chiriches found the net for the 3rd time in 4 games. This is the kind of Football I want us to be playing here at Tottenham.

Tottenham's Romanian defender has now scored 3 times in the opening 4 games, Spurs second highest goalscorer so far this season behind Zivkovic. Incredible!

Its a pitty you could leave newcastle on a high, but you did a great job in your time there,
Not a bad start to your spurs career, hopefully you can pick up your first trophy of your career this season, the first of many

I really wanted to win a trophy at Newcastle, but after 3 defeats in 3 Finals I just felt deflated..I was going to manage Spurs originally before picking Newcastle so this gives me the option to do both, although I'd usually move abroad before coming back to England, but hey-ho unfinished business!

Just a shame I can't change the name of the thread...

Tottenham Win Opening Group Game

Today we confirmed our first Champions League win since the 2010/11 campaign, a cool, well-worked 2-0 victory over Russian side Krasnodar at New White Hart Lane. Tottenham academy product Harry Kane opened the scoring in the second half with a beautifully worked goal before Zivkovic added his 5th of the season, a pleasing performance that was made easier by the sending off of a Krasnodar player.

Harry Kane's first goal of the season gave us the advantage in what turned out to be our first Champions League win of the season.

Late Equaliser Spoils Tottenham's Day

We were unlucky in this match, we were the better team overall but a late Marc Wilson goal ruined the day, a set-piece which is of course nothing out of the blue for the Potters. I am however glad to see that our goalscoring combo of Zivkovic and Chiriches are continuing to find the net, Zivkovic has proved to be a fantastic piece of business and goals from a central defender are never a bad thing.

Overall, Stoke is a tough place to play Football and having been 1-0 down I'm pleased we showed fighting spirit to take the advantage, ultimately it was a small lapse in concentration that cost us, but we'll move on.

A tough fought contest between Stoke City and Tottenham Hotspur finished the way it started, at a stalemate.

Tottenham Defeat The Blades

An exciting contest against Sheffield United saw us come away with a 4-2 victory, but it was a close game..Similar to the real life performance last night the Blades put up a valiant effort and were only beaten in the last 8 minutes.

We dominated the ball which pleases me as this is the style of Football I wish to employ here, but our defender was terrible, we conceded from both of their shots on target which is something we'll have to work on.

Zivkovic once again proving his quality by bagging a brace against the Blades, along with goals from Paulinho and Kalas.

We will now be heading to the Britannia to take on Stoke City in the fourth round of the League Cup, and although the board aren't too concerned with our performance, I'd like to win my first silverware as a manager.

Things could soon become much more exciting at Tottenham Hotspur, Daniel Levy is looking to sell the club and a Rich Business Tycoon has recently been linked with a takeover approach. Will we be the next PSG..Manchester City?

Tottenham Scrape Past Brentford

ce4b07d013.jpg

I'm pleased we bagged the 3 points, but I have to be honest..With 22 shots on goal and 62% of the ball we need to be better, whether that be by scoring a third or not conceding a first, we need to be more secure in our approach, Brentford could easily have equalised late on.

Eriksen's free-kick from 28 yards however was simply World Class, a lovely curled effort into the top corner, we were definitely deserving of the win but we had to rely on luck in the end..Not something I'm happy with.

Christian Eriksen is certainly one of the best playmakers in the World at this current time but the Danish International can also find the back of the net himself.

Reviewing the Start of the Season (2018/19)

Results

4bc2658d90.jpg

Besides the thrashing at the hands of Manchester United we've been very good so far, we were unlucky to drop points at Stoke and Chelsea but we can't rely on luck to see us break into the top 4. I've settled well here at Tottenham and hopefully as the season goes on we'll go on to become stronger and stronger, but we'll have to wait and see.

Currently we find ourselves in 7th position after 6 matches, but it's early days. As you can see my former club are doing very well, but it's no less than I expect from such a strong squad but I'm more focused on my team now.

For next month I'll be hoping we can strengthen at the back a bit, we've leaked too many goals and are beginning to replicate Liverpool from the 2013/14 campaign, I don't have the strongest defenders at my disposal but I'll certainly be aiming to tighten things at the back.

It's also early days in the Champions League having only played one match, we've got Barcelona at the Nou Camp up next which is going to be a tough ask, but I maintain my focus solely on finishing in that 2nd spot. Any higher is a bonus.

Richairo Zivkovic

richairo-zivkovic(ajax)(01-11-2014).jpg

Richairo Zivkovic has been fantastic, the young Dutchman has bagged 8 goals in 7 competitive games and is certainly looking to be worth every penny. If this form continues it's going to be tough for Tottenham lad Harry Kane to get back into the squad.

How About Next Month?

486107f9a5.jpg

We face some tough matches in October, Champions League matches against Barcelona and Olympiakos as well as a trip to League leaders Hull City.

I'm looking forward to facing my old club at my new home, it's going to be a tense encounter!

Spurs Secure Vital Win

A massive win away at the Nou Camp and certainly an unexpected one, we now lead the Champions League group by 3 points and a win over Olympiakos in our next match will all but secure our progression to the knockout stages.

We outpossessed Barcelona by playing their own game, we moved the ball quickly and gave the Catalan club very little time on the ball. What's the saying, attack is the best form of defence?

Zivkovic hobbled off in the 2nd half but hasn't picked up an injury which is an extremely pleasing piece of news.

Zaha was fantastic, a player I've never managed but one who has certainly impressed me so far.

(The post got stuck on bold..Apologies)

Just read the whole thing. Loved what you managed to do with Newcastle - but i'm really disappointed to see you moving to Spurs. You built a dynasty at Newcastle should of stayed for a few seasons :P

Best of luck with Spurs.

Is that due to the fact that you're an Arsenal fan? ;) I wanted to stay but things happened and I decided I'd move on, the aim was to go abroad but sadly this wasn't possible and so I ended up at Spurs! Hopefully you'll still give the story a chance. :)

5 Wins in a Row for Tottenham

A 3-2 win away at the Liberty Stadium saw us record out 5th consecutive win in all competitions, our 3rd in the Premier League. Defensively we still look a bit shaky but our offense is making up for it, for now at least...

With no Zivkovic in the squad we relied on goalscoring from other areas of the pitch, the first two of which were from our defensive units, Tomas Kalas and Eric Dier converting from set-pieces with Wilfried Zaha scoring our 3rd and final goal.

Harry Wilson and Danny Ings found the net for Swansea, both of which were poor goals from our point of view..Poor defending and a lack of communication allowed our opponents to slip through our back-line, but the 3 points are the most important thing.

The winning momentum is on our side as we prepare for a game against Newcastle United, my former club.
