So we're to create a save with the MLS starting from January 14' and negotiate the lowest deals we can for the players we want and you're going to trust everyone to be honest? I've literally just finished scouting my whole 30 man squad and staff by looking at there value x whatever down to their age haha gutted.

Transfer Details:
Price:

• International/US Foreign Based:
  23+ = Value

21-22 = Value x 2
20- = Value x 4

• US Domestic:

All Ages = Value

• In order to have the correct price, load up an MLS team before searching for your player and select January 2014 as the start date.

Contract:
Current Contract -
1 year deal = same wage
2 year deal = wage + .25 wage
3 year deal = wage + .5 wage
4 year deal = wage + .75 wage
5 year deal = wage x 2
*If the player is a free agent, simply load up a save with a 7000 reputation team or thereabouts (ex. Girondins d’Bordeaux) and approach to sign the player. Whatever their initial wage demands are, report those demands and multiply them by however long you want the player to be at your club(be honest).


So basically when you submit your squad shortlist to him you are calculating the price you will have to pay for each player taking into account these restrictions.

Won't there be a difference depending on which club you decide to manage, how you negotiate transfers, when the offer is put in etc etc? if it was just down to a players value at the start of the game there would be no grey areas..

Remember, there are no transfer negotiations, you're just using multipliers to find the values of foreign players or U.S. players abroad. So there is still just one set value, as long as everybody starts in January 2014 and uses pounds.

Guys kinda need to know your answers to these:

1) In game, the NACL chooses random teams from the league, so we will attribute that to league generosity, although if anybody knows how I can fix this, PLEASE let me know ASAP. Any thoughts?

EDIT: THIS ONLY HAPPENS IN YEAR 1. For every season after, top four in APL go to NACL. Problem solved.

2) So when a team goes in debt, what I was thinking is for every five million in debt, 3 point deduction from the next season, what are your thoughts? Too harsh? Not harsh enough?

EDIT: Also guys, for youth intake, they happen in June following each season and manager's choose the youth players to sign (obviously you guys can choose not to give any of them contracts) but yea just thought I should let you know when the youth intake is. Cheers.

Seems fair as a starting point, if necessary can always review it after season 1? I'd agree with a 3 point deduction for the next season for 5 million debt, but I'd probably add on an extra point for every million after. So 8 million in debt is 6 points, 10 million is 8 points etc - but hard to know what's reasonable until we start and see how we go.

Sounds like a good idea added to the first post; also guys don't forget use pounds when doing transfer and contract stuff as that is default fm currency.

When looking at staff to bring in, you advised to load up a 7000 reputation team to enter talks with unemployed staff to get a wage demand. I'm looking to employ a manager who is unemployed, so obviously he doesn't want to enter talks with my 7000 rep club about being an assistant so I can't get a wage demand, what do I do in that instance? Can go for a different manager of course but I'm quite set on this one.

So Futsalplaya had a similar concern, and since there is no easy way to find the wage of an unemployed manager, the best I can do is say please be realistic on wages ... don't say that your manager has 5K when in actuality he is commanding 50-60K wages ... I mean there is no real answer to this, so just be fair with your wages.

1) that sounds like a good idea, how do you suggest I go about editing the pre-game history? I agree that the first four should get the spots, but I need to figure out how to actually implement that. Suggestions? You can pm me if it's too long to post.

2) hmmm, what do you guys think about the debt idea.. maybe for every ten million in debt, you have to sell/release a marquee player?
