Mergim - You shouldn't be using 4-2-4 away from home. It's an attacking formation which makes you very weak down the centre. Such teams as Chelsea play through the middle, hence why you lost that game.

Rooney has no business playing AML either. Shift your formtion to a more solid 4-3-2-1 and you'll do much better.

Have Evra/Rafeal set to support at home, and defend away (support against poor teams)
Nani down the left cutting in. Reduce his long shots else he'll just waste chance after chance. (does score the odd wonder goal though)
Valencia hugging touchline on the right.
CM - I'd buy comeone better then Fletcher. Preferably a deep lying playmaker such as Poli
AMC (left side) Play Rooney there as an Inside Foward
AMC (right side) Play Danny as Attack mid
Foward - Hernandez as Poacher

Start using Smalling more. Man Utd CB's are very slow and that is your main weakness. Smalling had a pace of 16 by the end of my first season which counter acts Vidics pace of 12.

Played as United 2 season with this formation and won everything except FA cup twice.

Actually if you get the other options right and give Rooney a lot of creative freedom, then you can play against Chelsea and all those big ones away with a attackive formation.

I used to beat the big ones 2 to 4-0 away with a 4-2-4 formation and ultimately win the league by 96 points with 100 scored and 25 conceded.

you really do need to use Rooney upfront rather... that is his best position, rather buy other players instead!

it depends on your tactics and philosophy, PI's etc! if you playing with attacking wingers away from home, make sure you have two good Defensive Cm's to win your ball for you in the centre and will track back to help defenders.

sorry guys, never knew it was closed for some reason! any new updates?

Which tactic is better, the one with Rooney AMC or the 442?

I struggle getting some players morale to good or better than that, played like 4 friendly matches, won all of them but for instance Rooney's moral is **** and he is not the only one. What do I do wrong? I'm selling Carrick and Park-Ji Sung and bought Danny.

Ive always used different 4-4-2s(4-2-4) and they have all been quite good.
Just keep playing official matches with those players and try to give them their best roles, so that they could perform well every game.

Should I switch to the tactic that has Rooney not as AMC?
These are the players that have some kind of morale problem:
Rooney (amc)
Nani (left winger, should I switch him to Giggs and have Nani as backup of Valencia?)
Valencia (amr)
Vidic
Rafael

Also, in the match preparation nothing is even close to fluid. I'm just about to play against Chelsea, before the league starts. Is it ok?

3 matches, 2 draws, 1 win, this tactic is garbage. roflmao

The bolded part shows exactly why the last added sentence means nothing. "roflmao".

Sorry for that really. I'm just that mad. Seriously cannot believe how unlucky I am at this game. Not only I can't make a working tactics my own but I can't even win the games I should with tactics that should supposedly win close to everything. :'-(

Anyways, Valencia and Nani is injured 2 matches ago, gonna try out il Devasto tactic and see how it works.

Celtic fan, you need to give the tactic time, a minimum of 15 games is necessary to get the team gelled and playing to this tactic!
as for all tactics, you cannot just plug and play mate! you have to tweak the tactic to your players stats and best roles! you cant use a player like Zigic as the striker in this tactic, he is going to be uber ****! you have to change the PI's etc....

good luck with the other tactic though, I hope it does work for you....

oh and 2 draws 1 win is not bad for a start to the season!
