Is this tactic ready for the latest patch? Sorry if you´ve already answered but didn´t see...Starting with QPR anyone sugest any players?

Thanks

yeah, the tactic works with newest patches. as for the players look over your team, see how you are according to the recommended attributes and if you think you lack players in certain positions, check out sean's player recommendations

Just want to say that since the latest patch this is by far the best tactic that is around. I have tried a few others from the forums but none of them have the consistency of this tactic with so many different teams.

Having said that I have downloaded the players filter that was released earlier in the thread and I have checked out the recommended players in the opening post, the only problem being that these players seem to be more for big teams and top division teams. I was wondering if we could maybe release some recommended players for lower league clubs such as the championship to maybe the conference.

This would help those that like to manage lower league clubs find good player that fit this tactic.

Thanks,

Alex

its too demanding, as the amount of lower league players is huge. you'll just have to sift through them yourself with the help of scouts and filters

How should I be lining up with this tactic for Everton? Like to give it a try.

hi m8 great tactic! i want to ask you if i dont have so good assistant manager 16+ what should i do ? thanks

At start of game? what league roughly? I took Swindon from league 1 to the prem with back to back promotions and found some stars on the way.

OK, tried a few tactics, wanted to build my own but wanted to first find a nice starting tactic and play a while to re-learn the game (skipped FM12.)

I always start unemployed and play it a bit as a role-playing game. Swindon picked me up, they were mid league at best, no transfer budget so only free players as an option. Started with this tactic, got it up to fluid, picked up 2 or 3 players to fill roles in the tactic where we were weak but no one outstanding.

Once the tactic became fluid, we started winning, and managed to actually win the League and get promoted to the Championship league! We're midway through the second season in the Championship league, with the goal to avoid relegation, and we're doing well enough we've changed expectations to mid-table and picked up some transfer and salary money. We probably won't win promotion (not sure I want to be promoted into the Premiership two seasons in!) but we're playing quite well. In fact, we're in the 5th leg of the FA Cup and just upset Liverpool 1-0!

I'm playing the OP tactic, and found a nice AM with 16 tactical knowledge and 15 in Defense and let him handle the OIs.

I've found that keeping the tactic at Attacking even when up and wanting to defend seems to work best (best defense is a good offense?) When up and wanting to defend (such as when we went up on Liverpool in the FA Cup and desperately wanted to hang on for the last 10 minutes!) I simply go in and change time wasting to often.

What I like about the tactic: it appears to result in "realistic" football. We were just promoted from League 1 to Championship League and we're not going to beat Man U 5-0 and we aren't going undefeated in our first season in Championship. We tend to win 1-0, 2-1, etc. and not 6-0. We do occasionally get upset. But I can tell, the tactic is allowing my team to play as well as they can. It feels like a great tactic and not an exploit.

Thanks Sean!

I'm afraid that the tactic is good enough we may be challenging for promotion to the Premier League! We just made the Championship after my first season coaching Swindon in League 1, where we surprised everyone by winning the league, thanks to this tactic (I had 0 transfer budget that season!) We were targeting avoiding relegation this first season in the Championship, but we have won 6 matches in a row and unscored on in 6 matches, and find ourselves in 5th.

However, we just had a match against the team in 24th, at home, which we should have won by 4 goals, and we squeaked out a 1-1 tie! But again, that feels like "real" football, you should have the odd match with unpredictable results.

Good tactic!

I bought Jovetic for the AF role... his skills are insane.

Watch this goal.. Best goal I've ever seen on FM 2013.

Can someone tell me who to play for roma first season gk rb cb cb lb dm dm lm rm st st can someone help or has the formation been changed

Chopped and changed tactics all year with Man City and was falling off towards the end where Tottenham were just 2 points off me with 3 games to go, losing the first leg to Valencia 2-0 and in the FA Cup final..however I changed to this tactic and these were my results:

Valencia 0 Man City 4 - Through to CL Semi
Man City 2 Everton 1
Sunderland 0 Man City 1
Man City 5 Man Utd 1 - First leg of CL semi
Norwich 0 Man City 1
Man Utd 1 Man City 0 - Through to CL Final Vs Barcelona
Man City 0 Watford 0
West Ham 0 Man City 0
Tottenham 0 Man City 1 - Won FA CUP
Cardiff 0 Man City 5 - Won Premier League
Barcelona 0 Man City 2 - Won Champions League

By far the best tactic I have used consistently with lower league teams and world class ones like Man City

Well, this will be interesting. I started unemployed, was hired by Swindon in League 1, goal was just mid-table, used this tactic with a zero transfer budget, won the league. Second season, goal was avoid relegation, and we ended up almost getting promoted to the Premier League (which I didn't really want, we did not have the team to go from League 1 to Premier League in two seasons!)

However, I did well enough in those two seasons that I was offered a huge contract to take over Hull in the Premier League. So now we'll see how this tactic does there with Hull. Our target is to simply avoid relegation. I have recently started also experimenting with King Jassar V2, a variation of Modern Warfare 442, and I'm using that one on occassion when we seem to get in a rut with this tactic.

I do exactly the same. Thing is that AI seems to adapt pretty quickly to play vs Sacchi's tactic (I'm not saying that u start to lose, the results are not as good anymore) so switching to Jassars (option with wingers) does wonders, especially against smaller teams or when u are behind against bigger teams (and they seem to just try to hold you off)

What is the option with Wingers? Do you have a link to that one? What does the winger option do better in Jassars?

Back to the tactic in this thread, it does seem like the AI starts to figure out the tactic and make adjustments that make it more challenging. Just as I assume real life teams would. So having two tactics fully fluid that are quite different seems to be quite useful.

Using this tactics, anyone realised that the opponent's CB always have very high ratings??

which tactic do all of you use? the original one from post 1 or the tweaked tactic?

please let me know.

I just use the original. I've tried the tweaked one - like all of us, we're always looking for the next best tactic. But the original seems to work well. As I noted above, I also have the team become fluid in the modified Modern Warfare 2 (King Jassar V2) because at times it seems the AI adjusts itself to this tactic and formation and switching usually helps, but then I switch back.
