So so good mate, I hope you can pull off another promotion and get more money invested.

Thanks mate, automatic promotion is out of the question now so looks like the luck of the play-offs again if we even get make it into the top 5!! So close.

So last time we were flying high in the Blue Square Premier, I've now finished the regular season so here we go!!!!

Results

League

Ouchy. Only 5 wins in this period, dreadful run of form. Ed Stamp's goals really dried up which didn't help. A shed load of draws. To be honest I think it was partly my fault, I was using wrong tactics in games I was overconfident for.

FA Trophy

View attachment 358266

So we're in the final of the FA Trophy!! Beat Salisbury in the semi's in an incredibly tight two legs. Barrow in the final, could go either way.

League Table

Phew, even with our best attempts to throw it away we managed to cling on to a play-off spot. Its really tight at the top though, just 5 points off top spot!! Anyone could win the play-offs really, I gotta get my tactics right in these games though otherwise this season could be a complete waste of time!!

Thats it for now, I'll include all the normal end of season stuff in the play-off update!! Let me know how you think we'll do!!

Great work again mate, hopefully you'll be celebrating a cup and promotion double! I think it'll be tight in the playoffs as you haven't lost many games at all in the second half of the season but have been drawing a few too many. If I had to put money on it I'd say a Wembley penalty shootout victory in the playoff final :P

Yeah too many draws cost us the title in the end really!! Very frustrating having to enter the lottery that is the play offs!! Update tonight anyway with the results of that!!

Play-Offs, FA Trophy Final and Awards

So last time we just managed to scrape into the Play-offs. In the semi-finals we were paired up against Alfreton Town!!!

Results

Play-Off Semi Finals 1st Leg

Horsham 2 - 1 Alfreton Town

Morch OG, Stamp

A pretty good result, shame we conceded. We could have won by more really, very nervous going into the second leg now...

Play-Off Semi Final 2nd Leg

Alfreton Town 2 - 2 Horsham
Horsham win 4-3 on agg

Anderson, Bawling

View attachment 358770

Woaaah what a game!! It was all going nicely at 1-1 until the 84th minute when Alfreton scored, I thought it was going to extra time until the ball fell to Bawling who slammed home from the edge of the box to send us to the final!!! Bawling hasn't been our best player this year but he scored what could be the biggest goal in our history.

Play-Off Final

Horsham 1 - 0 Wrexham

Stamp

View attachment 358771

YESSSSSSSS, Ed Stamp is a certified Horsham FC legend as his goal sends us into the nPower League 2!! It was an incredibly tight game, one goal was always going to settle it and on the day it fell to us. Promotion once more!!!

FA Trophy Final

Barrow 2 - 1 Horsham

O'Halloran

View attachment 358774

Noooooo!!! We were 2 minutes from winning the FA Trophy but conceded in the 88th minute!! We were down to 10 men after Jordan Anderson, who'd had a fantastic year, got a silly second yellow, we nearly made it to the final whistle but unfortunately couldn't hold on. Into extra time we went and Austin Eaton gave away a stupid penalty... which Barrow scored. I encouraged the lads forward, we had nothing to lose... in the 117th minute Justin Halls got in down the left, drilled it across the face of the goal just wide of the post. That was that.

Squad

View attachment 358775View attachment 358777

Here's the squads stats for the season, three players really stood out for me. Ed Stamp who smashed in 29 goals in all competitions, Jordan Anderson and Kiran Khinda-John were our rocks at the back. My successful teams are always built on a goal-scoring striker and two rock solid centre backs.

A lot of this squad will leave, some big players over the years too. Might have to say goodbye to club hero Gary Charman, the guys been a legend maybe not the best player but been with us from the start and is my assistant. I need to have a think, I can't be loyal and waste money on wages but its gonna be tough.

Our finances have improved massively this season, now a healthy sum in the bank and will surely increase :).

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Awards

Ed Stamp was nominated for Player of the Year but missed out unfortunately. But there was a nice award for me...

View attachment 358780

Yaaaay =] very nice to win that.

My Player of the Year

Jordan Anderson

View attachment 358781

Been an absolute rock for us, despite probably costing us the FA Trophy. Signed him up already for next season, he's earnt it.

My Young Player of the Season

Ed Stamp

My golden boy, come on leaps and bounds since coming from our 2015 youth intake. Still only 17 too!!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks guys, hope you're all looking forward to next season!! Do you want a Meet the Squad for next season??

Epic fail!!!! You cant even beat Barrow! lol

Great work as usual and congrats on the promotion. Good luck and hopefully you wont need it!!!!

Well done mate, a great achievement and I'm sure many more to come. :)

Pre Season

So before we get into the transfers and stuff there's some big news about the club!! We finally turned professional, increased our scouting range and have moved into our brand new stadium!!

Really great news all that stuff, sadly I asked the board to find us a parent club but they came back with no results once again :/ maybe a bug??

Transfers

View attachment 359137 View attachment 359138

Maaasive clear out like I said would be. I'll go into the new signings more in depth as I'm going to do a ''Meet The Squad''. I let a lot of the team from last year go as most of them wouldn't cut it and were clogging up the wage budget. You might notice names on both sides as I signed some players early on but found better players I could sign on less money after. So I released them to free up the wage budget some more!!

Finances

View attachment 359142

Gone down a bit as to be expected with it just being after the transfer window but its projected to increase which is the main thing!! Nice to have the club on the road to being self reliant.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And Finally..... Odds for the season

View attachment 359143

33/1 isn't bad at all. Should steer clear of relegation which is the main thing this year for me. Plus our opening fixtures has worked out nicely with only Northampton the real tough game in August for us so a good start will help us for sure.

That's all for now folks, like I said I'll do a meet the squad tomorrow in sections(Defenders, Midfielders and Attackers) so you can get a feel of the new lads and who's gonna make an impact this year for us. Thanks for reading as always =]

Congrats on the promotion mate! Quick question, how is Will Hughes looking in your save? A screenshot would be great :)
