SUMMARY
This month was short but sweet. We werent free flowing and banging in goals left right and centre but were a solid unit that was hard to break down and we did well. I was also able to give a few youngsters some match time which was a bonus.
In the cup draws we will play Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League and either Napoli or Udinese in the Coppa Italia.
Roma and Inter sacked their managers with Joachim Low taking charge of the latter.

SUMMARY
This month was slightly disappointing as we slipped up once in the league and got knocked out of the Coppa Italia. We did pick up towards the end of the month though and hopefully we can go on a run to try and break clear at the top of the league.
The transfer window is not shut yet but I dont expect to do anything else before it ends. I did sign one player, Lorenzo Crisetig, from Parma for ?3.8m. He will be a good squad player and will certainly develop into a top top player.

Leaving the club, somewhat surprisingly, was the holder of the European Golden Boot German Denis. The veteran striker and club icon was sold to Newells Old Boys for ?675,000. I sold him because the 16y/o striker I signed in the summer Gianluca Bianco is developing nicely and I think will become a star.
I also loaned out several players.

This month was nearly perfect. We got some great results in the league, most notably against Roma and Inter however our game against Spurs in the Champions League put a dampner on things. That said the league title seems to be as good as won as we have opened up a whopping 10pt lead.
I am now eagerly anticipating this years youth intake.

Almost a perfect month!!! We are just waiting confirmation of our league title so all the focus is on the Champions League where we scraped through against Spurs and will meet Juventus in the next round. That tie is half decent, after all we are dominating domestically so we shouldnt have any fears there.

SUMMARY
A bitter sweet month this as we confirmed our 2nd title win but exited the Champions League at the hands of Juventus. Overall though I am pleased with the results as our run of fixtures was full of tough games and it continues next month with games against Juventus and Fiorentina.
I managed to get Dutch side AZ Alkmaar as a feeder club - hopefully they will produce some great talent for me to poach!

SUMMARY
So season number 2 is over and we won another 2 trophies albeit that one wasnt really considered a major one. My prediction early on in the season that the league would be a close run thing couldnt have been more wrong as we won it at a canter in the end. Considering my squad is nowhere near the level I want it to be at that is quite frightening.
I am very much encouraged by my youngsters I have in the u19 squad and my aim is to get them game time be it out on loan or with us. That said I will still probably splash a bit of cash if given any during the summer. I have already arranged to sign Marc-Andre ter Stegen on a free but I am just going to sell him to make money lol
There will be some departures of course and I think the main area that I need to strengthen is either full back position or midfield. I will also try and get Verratti and Januzaj back permanently.

PRE-SEASON
I splashed the cash this summer but not on that many players as it turned out!! My aim for the summer was to further strengthen the first team squad and loan out a few of my youngsters and I have managed to do that thus far.
I changed my assistant manager while Patrick Vieira has joined the coaching staff along with Pippo Inzaghi.

PLAYERS IN
My most expensive deal was to retain on loan midfielder Marco Verratti permanently and he cost me ?21.5m. Obviously by being here last season he will have no problems settling here!

Next up was the ?21m I spent to bring Domenico Berardi back to Italy from Cardiff City. I think he will be a world beater for me and my biggest problem will be to decide whether to play him up front or on the right wing.

?12m was given to Ajax for 16y/o (at the time) Sinan Sivrikaya. He looks as though as if he is going to be a world class player and I think he will become a beast of a player. His birthday is late on in the season (something I always check) so it means I have a full year of him as a 17y/o so an extra year of development!

As revealed in a previous post I brought in Marc-Andre ter Stegen on a free transfer. I had planned to loan him out for a fee and then sell him on for a huge profit but no bids were forthcoming so he will be first choice keeper for me now.

PLAYERS OUT
The main one and possibly surprisingly was my goalkeeper Andrea Consigli. He left to join FC Porto for ?18m after it became apparent that ter Stegen wasnt going anywhere. He was brilliant for me and won his first caps for Italy last season too.
Others leaving were James Troisi (?1.6m), Vincenzo Fiorillo (?450k), and a couple of others for small fees. I released a shed load of players including Masiello and Del Grosso and also loaned out a couple of hundred lol.
Gianluca Bianco, the striker who featured off the bench last season, has gone to Lens in France on loan to get regular game time. Other prospects going out to get matches and who I have earmarked for the future are Tulissi, Robustellini and Lazaro.

SUMMARY
So as you can see - although I spent just over ?50m I havent actually made too many changes to the look of my team. I failed to get Januzaj back. I agreed a ?20m deal but his wage demands were double the highest wage that I was currently paying and I am not going to spend ?6m on a loan deal!!!!

What a season opener this was!!! There were 3 goals in the opening 10min and we somehow went 3-1 down despite dominating but then Berardi struck on his debut, Verratti got one on his 2nd debut and Marilungo netted in stoppage time!

I have got to be pleased with this month. We had some really tough fixtures but we came through relatively unscathed with only the might of Real Madrid being able to beat us. We are looking really formidable just now and if my starters fail to perform my subs tend to come on and make a difference!

We are on fire at the moment, banging in goals left right and centre. My attacking players have clicked and the arrival of Berardi has really upped our game as his pace and creativity is proving to be unstoppable for some teams.

SUMMARY
We keep marching on!!! The highlight of the month was obviously the magnificent win over Real Madrid but we did do well domestically too and have a 7pt lead in the league already.
I managed to get Swedish side Malmo as a new feeder club. Hopefully they will produce a few good youngsters for me to poach!
