SUMMARY

As usual December has been quite a quiet month. We went through it unbeaten and finished top of our Champions League group and we will play Valencia in the knockout round. We have also been given a favourable draw in the Coppa Italia.

I dont envisage making too much if any changes to the squad in January. I might hunt for a few youngsters but other than that I am very happy with how things are.

SUMMARY

Our second half collapse against Roma prevented us from winning every game during January. It seems as though we are miles ahead of everyone else domestically and we just have to turn up to get the points. That said I fear we have a bit to go to conquer Europe and that is the next aim.

I did bring in one new player during January. French left back Layvin Kurzawa was brought in from Monaco for ?3.5m which is a bit of a bargain. He will challenge Brivio to be first choice and has scored for the club already (he scores quite a few in real life too!)

SUMMARY

An entertaining month! We scored 22 goals in only 6 games as our charge towards a 3rd successive Serie A title continues and also we progressed to the Coppa Italia final where we will play Fiorentina and have a little bit of work to do to overhaul Valencia in the Champions League.

Bonaventura has been on an incredible scoring run and Batshuayi hasnt been too quiet either. As usual providing the assists have been Berardi and Giovinco - my 4 attacking players work perfectly alongside eachother.

SUMMARY

Another fantastic month. I think we are one win away from regaining the title as we are 20pts clear and Napoli have 7 games left - we even have a game in hand!! In the Champions League we managed to negotiate our way past Valencia and thumped Spurs at home in the first leg of our tie.

The youth intake was pretty dismal to be honest with only 2 players being kept on and this one being the best one........

SUMMARY

Results wise this was a poor month as we only won 3 out of our 8 games and lost our unbeaten run in the league however we managed to regain the title and reach the Champions League final despite having several players missing so I cant complain really!!!

We will play Man City in the final and immediately I think we have no chance but we have thumped Real Madrid and all Italy has to offer this season and knocked out Barcelona so maybe it is closer than you think!

SUMMARY

A fantastic end to the season as we wrap up the quadruple. The league was already won of course and although we couldnt quite manage to remain unbeaten my backups finished off the campaign very well. In the cup final we sneaked past Fiorentina thanks to a last minute penalty.

The Champions League final was a great occasion and we came out on top after 6 goals and a penalty shoot-out. Now to do it next season to show that it wasnt just a flash in the pan.

END OF SEASON REPORT

What a season!! We won all 4 trophies available to us and did it in fine style too. The league was far too easy and we only lost once - and that was because I had to play my backups away to Juventus. The Champions League was a surprise as we thumped Real Madrid and conquered Barcelona and Manchester City to win it.

I actually thought next season would be our first chance to realistically aim for winning the Champions League but we have managed to win it a year early.

As for my squad, it is still very young and I wont need to bring in much in the summer. At the moment a centre back to act as cover is the only position I know I am going to actively sign.

PRE SEASON
I did a lot more business than I thought I would during the break!!! Not only in recruitment but also in sales. I spent far more than I thought I would but it was mainly investing for the future.

I got another feeder side in the shape of Seattle Sounders from the USA.

I had in mind a backup CB and in the end I spent ?32m on one!!! 17y/o Dane Allan Kleemann came in from Bordeaux. He may not be the tallest of players but with the right development I think he could turn into a beast!

I signed a 16y/o keeper Mohamed Qasmi from Feyenoord for ?9m. I first spotted him as a 14y/o and decided to make the move for him just now. He will probaby be loaned out for a few years.

I then secured an absolute bargain in bringing in Agustin Allione from Velez Sarsfield for ?3.2m. His value immediately rocketed up to ?16m and I have to be honest, he looks as though he may overtake Berardi on the RW which could prompt other changes!

Three biggies left. Koo Ja-Cheol went to Benfica for ?16m, a profit of ?14.3m no less!! Constantin Nica is in the process of a move to German cub Schalke for ?15m and I let Cigarini join Aston Villa for ?6.5m.

Other than that it was all loan deals and released players.

Regarding the first XI Pugliese will replace Cigarini in CM and thats it really! As I said earlier if Allione shines then I may have to juggle other players.

I AM THE NEW ITALY MANAGER!!!!!!

After the Euros (won by France) I got offered several jobs, most notably the Spanish one but when I declared my interest in the Italy job nothing happened for a few days and then all of a sudden they sacked Prandelli and offered it to me.

There actually wont be too much of a bias towards my Atalanta players as they have all been capped already apart from Nicola Murru - even Bellusci and Pugliese have been capped previously!

SUMMARY

We have made a fantastic start to the season as we get big wins against Juventus away and Fiorentina and we also collected 2 more trophies.

Transfer wise, I failed to get Mattia De Sciglio as he decided to join Real Madrid instead and I couldnt really find another RB that appealed so I called up Edoardo Mileo from the U19 squad.

In the Champions League we have been drawn against Chelsea, Genk and Sparta Prague.
