Not sure how we didn't score as we were all over Malaga for the majority of the game and this results means Barcelona are just 1 point behind...

So final game of the season is against Barcelona and is the decider of who wins the league...

So we end up winning the league by 4 points! It could have been a lot more comfortable as we definitely drew and loss games which we should have won!

Definitely wouldn't have been possible without the goalscoring abilities of Diego Costa as he ends the season on 30 goals, but also would have been hard without the contribution of loanee Jose Sosa as he contributes with 16 assists!

Diego Costa

Of course Costa wins this as he scored 41 goals in 51 appearances, as well as also helping with 13 assists. Definitely glad bids were turned down during January for such a good player!

Many players had a very good season for At. Madrid, especially Costa and Sosa, but this league win would not have been possible unless everyone contributed... which they did!

Yes! We won the league in the 1st season! We deserved it and all looking at the last match at camp nou against barcelona. We weren't dominated at all. Arda did great. Now next season we need to find a new GK to replace the great Courtois

We do have Sergio Asenjo who is out on loan and will be coming back who isn't too bad, but definitely need to find someone of Courtois quality again

Summer Transfer Window

Players Out

So a lot of players left on free transfers in the summer along with a couple of deals that had already been confirmed with Roberto moving to Olympiakos for ?5Million and most of my outgoings loan deals.

Players In

Well i didnt really want to change anything to much after a good first season and i was given such a poor transfer budget that i would need to sell to bring anyone in and i didnt particularly want to do that.
So i waited for ages to see if we would get anymore than the ?12 Million left over from last season and we didnt and we needed to replace Kondogbia and Courtois who both went back to their clubs after their loan deals ended.
So i brought in Rui Patricio in goal who was the best player available for the just over ?10 Million i was willing to pay for a GK with Ter Stegen moving to Barcelona over us when it came to contracts.
The other player i brought in was Sami Khedira on loan from Man Utd who will slot straight into the first team filling the space left by Koke/Kondogbia.

So the big couple of stories in the first few games is that Florenzi had an awesome start to the season with 2 goals in 2 games and then picked up a bad injury and hasnt played since with main striker Diego Costa then missing all of September thanks to an injury he picked up on International duty.

So it all started so well with 4 wins on the bounce smashing rivals Real Madrid 7-2 on aggregate to pick up the Spanish Super Cup again but we really struggled in September with Man Utd decimating us thanks to 5 goals from Mata. We struggled in September to get the goals to put games to bed but David Villa more than filled in for Diego Costa grabbing 7 goals in September.

Second choice David Villa tops the Golden Boot chart along with Raul Garcia topping the assists charts thanks to setting up a number of Villas goals.

I also has a look at the other reserves and youth teams and brought up Saul, Oliver and Leo to the first team squad to add a bit of depth to some of the attacking areas.

Yes the board are a bit annoying, When i took the save over we had ?12Million left over from last season and i waited and waited for the season budget to be given and it didnt change!

A brilliant couple of months overall as we win 10 games in the 12 we played in the past couple of months. We lost a hard fought game against Barcelona at the end of October but more than made up for it by beating Real Madrid in the next match with youngster Saul grabbing the winner.
We drew with Man Utd in the Champions League and have qualified for the knockout stages with the all important last games of the group stage deciding who will win the group with us and United both on the same points.

So were currently 2 points behind big rivals Real Madird and just ahead of Barcelona, All three teams have scored 41 goals this season but we have conceded quite a few more.

Turan and Garcia are the top two in the assists chart whilst Diego Costa has moved into second place behind Messi in the race for the Golden Boot with David Villa still in the top 5.​

So in the Champions League we won our last group match but it wasnt enough to top the group and we will face Chelsea in the Knockout stages whilst Man Utd got the much easier tie of Porto.

The perfect way to end my 6 months in charge winning all 5 games this month and scoring goals for fun. We were always going to win the Cup games but it was nice to rotate the squad and see Leo in action along with Oliver and Saul and a young LB who has a really long name but could be awesome.

We end 2014 top of the table on equal points with rivals Real Madrid but thanks to beating them earlier in the season we have the better head to head. Real Betis are a surprise 3rd whilst the only team to beat us in the league so far Barcelona are 6 points off the title race.

My Player of the Half Season - David Villa - 15 Goals

Was hard to choose but i think the fact that hes getting a bit old and still putting in some amazing performances edged it. Him and Costa are joint top goalscorers with 15 goals each with Yarmelenko on 13 goals himself.
Raul Garcia and Arda Turan have also been amazing for me and i have certaintly saved the shots galore tactic as its brilliant so far this season.

For Duzzy

I know you wont but dont sell Diego Costa! Monaco are sniffing around and at best offered me ?50Million in the Summer but he is irreplaceable. I doubt you will have much to spend from the board but you can see the players who havent played much for me and theres plenty of deadwood which could make up a few million a piece.
On players coming in on Bosmans i have left it up to you but depending on what they want contract wise and the fact we never get any budget Baumann the GK and Doumbia the ST would be good squad players for us but i will let you decide

What a great signing this was. We needed a winger so Arda could move to his more comfortable position in Central attack. We got him for 19M but his value rose straight up to 30M

Ander Herrera was another good signing as he's fairly young and also spanish. He could also help us out in center mid so we don't have to keep on loaning players.
