The match layout could be a lot better. Maybe a little match report or at least a clear stating of who scored the goals and maybe when.

Bigger headline showing the result maybe. to make it clearer.

Ok i will take all of this on board.

Ivory Coast international Gervinho has joined Liverpool for a fee of £5,500,000. Calder released a statement saying that he was interested in the player and two days later LOSC Lille offererd him to Liverpool, so Calder grabbed at the chance and snatched him up for a good price. Gervinho is delighted to have joined the reds as its been life dream.

Man City 1-1 Liverpool

Steven Gerrard (87)

Match Report: Man City were the better side in the first half. They created quite a few chances and should of had a bigger lead at half time. But then in the 2nd half Liverpool came out of the blocks and put lots of pressure on City until Gerrard slotted home a great cross from Kadlec.

Kelly leaves on Loan

20 year old right back Martin Kelly has left Anfield to join Barnsley on a 6 month loan to get some first team action and to also develop him as a player and not a reserve. Kelly is excited about playing in the Npower Championship.

Liverpool push there way past Fulham

Liverpool 2 - 1 Fulham

Cole (41)
Babel (45+1)

Match Report: Liverpool did create more chances than Fulham and overall probably deserved to win the game. However Fulham did keep possesion well, moved the ball around quickly amd making the Liverpool players work for the ball and they did deserve their goal which came on the 60th minute from Moussa Dembele.

MOM = Ryan Babel

Manager's thoughts on August results:
"Im delighted with the way my second month in charge has gone. We are unbeaten in the Premiership and EUROPA League so that is a positive, Babel and Gerrard are both playing extremely well, and now im just looking forward to getting Torres back from injury."

I like the layout, this story is good. KIU, I think selling Agger may pay off if Gervinho performs well. Good signings, if you wouldnt mind checking out my story in the link in my sig? thanks.

Liverpool win with luck !

Wolverhampton-Wanderers-icon.png

Liverpool 2 - 1 Wolves

Wilson (10)
Kadlec (46)

Match Report: Liverpool were lucky to win tonight. They didn't play well, they couldnt put 4 passes together but they managed to defeat a poor Wolves side. On todays performance Mick McCarthy should be worrying about saving his team from relegation this season. In truth it was an abismal match.

Liverpool reserves thumped by Everton

oa3o11.png

Everton 3 - 0 Liverpool

90% of Liverpools squad was on International duty today so 7 youth players had to step up to the mark, but they failed to impress, these were players like Eccelston, Pacheo and Roberts.

Match Report: Everton destroyed their fierce rivals off of the park today with goals coming from Geuye, Osman and Wallace. The blues fans now have the bragging rights until they meet again later on in the season and now doubt Calder will want revenge.

Spearing wants Out!!

Jay-Spearing-v-Napoli_2518029.jpg

21 year old Jay Spearing has handed in a transfer request to Martin Broughton today becasue he believes that he will never be an influential player for Liverpool and that its time for him to move on in the world. This is what he said to BBC sport:
"I believe that I need to leave Liverpool if I want to develop as a player. I fell that I have come to the end of the road at Anfield. I have nothing against the club or Manager I just want to be a first team footballer and if that means dropping down a league or so, so be it."

Liverpool come back to defeat Blackburn

Blackburn-Rovers-icon.png

Blackburn 1 - 2 Liverpool

Cole (44,69)

Match Report: Liverpool started off bad were facing a determined Blackburn side when they scored their goal which came from Ryan Nelsen. But then Liverpool upped their game and Joe Cole played a masive part in winning the game for the reds.

Liverpool win in First Goup Game!

fc-vaslui-120x120-en.jpg

FC Vaslui 2 - 3 Liverpool

David N'Gog (15,42)
Jovanovic (94)

Match Report: Liverpool were good when they attacked the romanian side but defending wise they were unimpressive which isnt like them at all. David N'Gog was good today, he scored two absolute wonderful goals.

Black Cats aint Scary !!

Sunderland-icon.png

Liverpool 4 - 0 Sunderland

Torres (40)
Gerrard (61)
Gervinho (67)
Babel (81)

Match Report: Liverpool were excellent today in both phases attacking and defending. They knocked the ball around really well today and finished the game off with a cracker from Mr.Babel. Calder will be pleased with his side's performance today.

MOM = Ryan Babel

Liverpool through to 4th Round

Aston-Villa-icon.png

Liverpool 1 - 0 Aston Villa

Kadlec (12)

Match Report: Liverpool played ok today. They defended really well in the 2nd half when hanging onto their lead but the attacking side of them wasn't great but Calder didn't play the big guns like Gerrard, Torres, Babel and Cole so I think he will be pleased his side is through.

MOM = Roberto Canella

Liverpool stalmate with High Flying Bolton

Bolton-Wanderers-icon.png

Bolton 1 - 1 Liverpool

Meireles (67)

Match Report: Bolton looked really sharp today and put the reds under pressure whenever they got the ball and managed to score on the 20th minute from a header by Ricardo Gardner. Calder won't be best pleased with the performance today but will probably take the draw.

MOM = Raul Meireles

Getafe%20CF_Grande_Logo_1190971386.png

Liverpool 3 - 2 Getafe

Skrtel (47)
N'Gog (58)
Rodriguez (67)

Match Report: Liverpool were pretty good today in all aspects although they did concede two goals but Getafe were as good as Barcelona going forwar today, they used flair, pace and dribbling skills to attack the red defence but Liverpool managed to come out with the win.

MOM = Milan Jovanovic

Managers Thoughts:
"Im pleased with how September has gone for us, im pleased with most of the results apart from Everton and Bolton ones. I aplogise to the fans about the Everton result as I no it means an awful lot to them, but I can promise a win when they come to Anfield."
