Try to check some of the other auctions game out - Potta linked to some of them on page 1, that'll might give you an idea of the concept.
Most important thing is to check the thread often, so you don't miss the rounds..
 
Read the opening post and as RiotAct said look at the other threads hopefully will clear it up :)
